I'm a guy and did my run through with a male dwarf. Alistair didn't come across with promiscuous, especially considering his admittance of virginity, but he wasnt exactly a shemale. He was my "best mate" in the game, as in, the only male character I talked to all that much other than Oghren.

I think "appeal to" is the term you're searching for.

And I know quite a few women who would actually be put off by a man refusing to sleep with her.  I've seen them posting about the very thing on this forum.  All of the characters in this game are complex, IMO, and really your statement falls flat with Alistair as much as it would with any of them.

I like it that there's a character in a game that's focused more for the female gamers and that such thought, time n effort went into making Alistair's story and making him the way he is.  The team that put Alistair together did a really excellent job.  Heck every companion in the game was done excellently, I may show more favoritism with Alistair because he's my favorite companion, then Zev but I am and always will be an Alistair fan lol.

Haha really?  I don't think I've ever heard him butt into the Lel/Morrigan breast convo. 

I tried to romance him on my last female before I deleted her actually.   He gave her a rose and everything but for some reason he wouldn't go to her tent (which was messed up cause she was a fox!).

He does like sex. Look:


You just have to get his approval real high (I think >90) to make him join you in tent.

Only some. At least as many really wouldn't. Like 'I'm calling the cops' wouldn't.
It's a little discouraging that so many guys think it's unmanly to want to be sure of your feelings before you bed a woman. I have to assume that many of the same guys are avoiding their answering machine messages, making frequent use of the 'it's not you, it's me' conversation, or just being dicks to get women to go away. Gotta say, while Alistair's way would be more initially intimidating to be on the receiving end of, it it would also get you a whole lot more points and respect in the long run. Sleeping with someone and then deciding if you should have gone there? That's pretty much total douche behavior.
