I also have problems minimizing the game.
Startup takes a long time it seems. Maybe 2-3 minutes. Then when I load a game, it also takes around as long. This working as intended?
Windows XP. service pack 3
ATI Radeon HD 5700
Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 3072MB RAM

It's been that way for some people with some systems all along. For some of them, only the first loads are slow, and if they quit, then restart without rebooting the PC, it's closer to normal. There were reports of 10-20 minutes worth of slow loads at different times (not common, though).

Yes, I think it loads faster after the initial load times. Its been weeks since I've played though. I get annoyed trying to get my resolution right, trying to minimize to check walkthroughs, and then the long load times when the starts up which I have to go through any time I do what I just mentioned. The game locks up and crashes. Surprised they don't have a fix for this. Game has been out awhile....
