Ah yes. Beth's failed Horse Armor DLC. Glad that we are in a much better position. BioWare's DLCs obviously make Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles pale in comparison. I am still puzzled that Beth's gamers fell for that crap. Are they stupid? I mean... Who on Earth wants actual content?Massadonious1 wrote...

I think it was more the fact that they were charging quite a bit of money for it for something that Bioware would give away for free that upset people in the Bethesda community.
Granted ME2 DLC thus far has been pretty similar except for Zaeed and the Firewalker pack. Stuff that should have been in the original game that they didnt really have "time" to add in because of release constraints and thus got cut and pushed into DLC.
Hopefully soon they will get started on REAL DLC like Bring Down The Sky.

Like BioWare gave away the Alternate Appearance pack?

And i wouldn't have bougth the horse armor separately either (i got as a part of the GOTY edition), but Fallout 3 DLC i like, i bought them all and haven't regretted it. The reason i'm still playing Fallout 3 is because of the modding community though, they've made the game infinitely better than it was originally, also fixing many bugs that were never officially patched. Was ME2 more moddable than it is i'd have high hopes for it too, but as it is we're stuck with whatever BioWare decides to sell us, and so far their DLCs aren't looking too good.

Do improper bug tested and release the game in an unplayable state at launch?
Sorry bit spammy here but QFT!
Also don't forget Return to Ostagar.

Actually, I believe Operation Anchorage had DLC snafus on release. After that and the Pitt, I believe they've gotten slightly more responsive. I don't recall having any problem with Mothership Zeta during launch.

I for one hate downloadable quests that are better than the in game quests for both games. Point Lookout adding fun in Fallout 3? Do not want. Shivering Isles adding obscene awsome and substance? Hell no.
Bioware keep giving me heavy weapons!

Bethesda gets way more flak than it's due for that. Can we expect BioWare to get the same now with their feast DLC for DA?monkeycamoran wrote...

Bring Down The Sky was of a calibre that would have deserved to win awards. None of Bethesda's DLCs to date save Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine deserve that. Im thinking more in respect of Fallout 3 than Oblivion - I personally think that Oblivions DLC were done better than Fallout 3s.
Are you serious? If you honestly believe that BDtS is worthy of an award, then you have no idea what good DLC is like. BDtS was ok, but it was short and felt like a slightly lengthier side quest. It was 75% mako driving and 20% fighting in the same exact buildings as every side planet, and the remaining 5% was actually fighting in a new building.
............................................................
And it's total ignorance to say that Fallout 3's DLC was buggy and unfinished. Only The Pitt had major issues. If you do not agree that Bethesda is the best model for singleplayer-only DLC, then you are in denial.

Need I say more?
I say have big quality chunks of DLC that extend the story beyond the end of the game and also "sideways" within the game. But please please PLEASE quality over quantity. A path parallel to Bethesda's DLC is what I'd like to see for Mass Effect.

Once Mass Effect 2 is done with DLC, I hope Bioware does what Bethesda did and puts it all out on a second disc with the GOTY edition of the game.
I'm conflicted about this. I already have ME2 and will most likely buy and download alot of the upcoming DLC at full price. When the GOTY edition comes out at regular game price including all that wonderful DLC how stupid will I feel having wasted my money? Pretty damned is the answer.

Well i bought all the Fallout 3 DLC, which means that Fallout 3 cost me about 100 € total, i could get the GOTY edition now for less than 30 €, but i regret nothing! It's all about are willing to wait, or do you want it now? With BioWare's DLC i'm willing to wait for the collection, if such is ever released. It was for NWN.

Well you get it sooner when you download it online. It's like buying a game at launch instead of waiting for the price to go down. If it's good enough, I have no problem paying full price to get it sooner.

The elven armor (on the left) is pretty damn good looking, not good enough for me to buy it, but still pretty damn good.
It looks good only because the horse is standing on leveled ground.
