Still working through the ME1 audio before I get started on a new project. Odd note: BioWare seemed to be really bad about being economical with the space used for audio in the first game. Just going through the endgame audio, for instance, I've heard at least two instances, the scene with the saved council is one example, where the audio is in there twice. And I swear, it actually sounds like it was recorded twice, like they had the actors do two slightly different line-reads, and kept BOTH versions in the game audio. Such a waste of space.
UnrealEd (core content / level editor for all games based on the unreal engine) is notorious for having the bad habit of not actually deleting content if you simply click delete (actually deleting content in itself already a bit more difficult than simply clicking delete) (even if there is a single in itself unused reference it will keep the content but it will become invisible (or something)) each update it gets better but it's still not perfect. I remember that some of the first games that licensed the unreal engine basically still had some of the unreal monsters and weapons in them not sure which one thought.
So if it's anybody fault that they wasted space its Epic Games
