I'm a bit of a newbie and need some help. 

After successfully installing DA:O from the original disc & successfully installing the 1.01a patch which was supposed allow no cd play among other things, I continue to get the error message, "Could not find the Dragon Age disc.  Please Insert the disc and try again." 
 
Have I missed something or done something incorrectly? I've even tried creating an ISO file & running it on a virtual drive with Daemon Tools in the hope that would bypass the no disc problem, but that hasn't worked either. I really don't know what to do to make things work since my G/F and I both want to play DA:O on our laptops. I could really use some helpful advice about how to resolve this irritating problem. 

As far as hardware goes, I'm using an Alienware M9700 laptop that's set up for gaming, and I don't seem to have any game play problems with the original disc, but that may change as I begin playing more and more.

Ooops I just realized my mistake, it should have been update 1.02a not 1.01a so maybe I should repost in the proper place. Sorry about that

When I try to update with patch 1.02a, I receive the message: "an error occured aplying the 1.02a update do your version of Dragon Age: Origins. [36]" Somebody can help me????

So I am guessing they haven't fixed this still?  This sticky says fix for v1.01, and when I download v1.02a the game no longer loads when I click the "play" button...it just hourglasses for a few seconds and goes back to the arrow and stays on the launcher screen.
I tried this fix anyway, but when I go to download the MS VC++ 2005 it gets to the end of installing and gives me "error 1935".

since i've istalled the patch 1.03 i cannot start my game, every time i click on play i get the following error windows

the window called AWC.dll and the message is:

"The game cannot lauch because of a misconfiguration, Please reinstall the game and try again"



i've disinstalled and istalled the game 3 time till now and it still give me this error, any hint to help me solve my problem?

Game won't launch for me now.



I haven't played it for about a month and a half and it worked fien then, but now with this patch (and any other since then) the game simply won't launch.



It just pops up with the DA splash and does nothing at all, it eats up 99% of my cpu but the game doesn't launch, even after waiting 10+ minutes.



Try just starting from the .exe and noting still.

please help me i don't have mass effect 2 installer i have an extractor of it so i extract my game in local drive G: now when i go to patch my game then patch.exe say "game not found plz reinstall the game" then i extract my game again in my primary disk but then same problem please any one help me... :'(

I have had a problem with bioware and EA concerning installing two promo mods (Blood Dragon Armor, and Stone Prisoner) and two paid mods(Return to Osguard and Wardens Keep) . I have had about 14 communications, either by e-mail or chat and all have turned the same, the technician say's the problem is fixed and the games still will not load and work. Two months ago all four mods were loaded and I had just begun to start playing them when I had a motherboard failure and had to replace it. I have never been able to do anything with the mods since then. I know that I have them loaded on my system, but when I bring up the game to play, and the downloaded menu is displayed, it indicates that all four are loaded but unauthorized, I have given the key codes to the tech's a number of times, each time they agree with me that I should get the mods and problem solved. Doesn't work. I can't download them again because key codes have already been used, and I can't get new key codes for whatever the reason is. So there is the problem , Would appreciate any help provided, have basically given up on bioware and EA.

My login button is greyed out. I can't log on at all to the game, I can play but DLC is not available because I can't log on. Any ideas?

Downloaded MS VC++ 2005 but it still did not fix the problem

I'm running version 1.04, I've done everything on this page related to my pc. I downloaded from direct2drive and nothing will play the game the error I am getting is There is a problem with your game setup please reinstall your game. the problem is it takes 3 hours to redownload the game to reinstall it and ive done it now 3 times. the issues above are dealing with version 1.01b or a or something I would think that in version 1.04 it would be resolved.I've ran windows update and updated everything in there, I've downloaded the files it shows in the first part. I downloaded the EA download manager and I tried running the exe file from the directory which just starts the download manager and gives me the same error. I'm a bit frustrated because when I purchase a game I dont intend to do hours of troubleshooting to figure out how to start it, it's a no refund game on direct2drive so if I cant get it working I got screwed. here's my configuration...
