i don't support the purge, because it does penalize the people that did it fairly. but, those who F-ed up should be punished
False those who cheated are at like 30k and we will never catch up with them.

This isn't like robbing a bank. This is like someone playing poker for the first time and not knowing the rules. The person asks if it is ok to look at other peoples cards and no one answers. Several hands later they get mad at the person looking at the cards.

Just to be clear, I hold no delusions about a purge actually happening, but from a practical sense it would do little to no damage.

I think people just like saying purge. It's such a cool word.
If you said "Support wipe of points" this thread wouldn't be nearly as cool

The referal points was not a good idea to begin with. Right off the bat, you're rewarding people for trolling, posting spam on this and other boards, and just outright encouraging making people annoying.
I'm not a big fan of "Chris' Challenges" either...as there's no real criteria...it's just "get lucky". However...it's not exploitable, so I'm not going to really complain about it...suffice to say, I'm annoyed that I missed out on several days of it because of the fact that I have a job.
As it is, despite owning every game BioWare has made since NWN, I'm already out of the running for some of the better prizes. In short, I'm being punished for: having a job, not having a twitter account (I ended up making one just for this), and not spamming forums.

Yeah, this was not a good contest from a fun standpoint, but great for profit.

Actually it's more like the dealer saying he isn't happy about it but will put up with it and then the casino owner ordering the guy to be taken outside and beaten.
