False those who cheated are at like 30k and we will never catch up with them.

Just to be clear, I hold no delusions about a purge actually happening, but from a practical sense it would do little to no damage.

This isn't like robbing a bank. This is like someone playing poker for the first time and not knowing the rules. The person asks if it is ok to look at other peoples cards and no one answers. Several hands later they get mad at the person looking at the cards.

Actually it's more like the dealer saying he isn't happy about it but will put up with it and then the casino owner ordering the guy to be taken outside and beaten.

I think people just like saying purge. It's such a cool word.

If you said "Support wipe of points" this thread wouldn't be nearly as cool ;)

There are many who are under 20k that have also used the bbcode image tag.

I think he's referring to people using scripts or spambots.

The referal points was not a good idea to begin with. Right off the bat, you're rewarding people for trolling, posting spam on this and other boards, and just outright encouraging making people annoying.

I'm not a big fan of "Chris' Challenges" either...as there's no real criteria...it's just "get lucky". However...it's not exploitable, so I'm not going to really complain about it...suffice to say, I'm annoyed that I missed out on several days of it because of the fact that I have a job.

As it is, despite owning every game BioWare has made since NWN, I'm already out of the running for some of the better prizes. In short, I'm being punished for: having a job, not having a twitter account (I ended up making one just for this), and not spamming forums.

Yeah, this was not a good contest from a fun standpoint, but great for profit.

The challenges are basically random and anyone with a job or school just loses out, yay. Personally when ever a site is spamed it just turns me off from it, I think it is a bad advertising tactic.

Right, your game tokens and the like would still apply.

It wasn't defined as cheating in the rules to start with.

It would be fairer if it was a raffle *ie everyone has 1 ball in each item*

The word Click was used in the rules No Click = Not playing by the rule
Not playing by the rule  = Cheating

Then we should ban anyone who used multilinks. Dragging a box around a link is not the same as clicking it.

Unless you interpreted "click" as "URL hit". It was not specific on how the "clicks" or "url hits" were to be obtained. It also took them more than two days to give any word on it adding to the legitimacy of the img tags.
