The word Click was used in the rules No Click = Not playing by the rule
Not playing by the rule  = Cheating

Then we should ban anyone who used multilinks. Dragging a box around a link is not the same as clicking it.

Yes, I agree that is also cheating.

Lets also ban people who lie to get people to click their link. Lying is cheating.

Okay, then they either need to track down and DQ everyone that used mulitlinks somehow (a great many people likely, seeing as it was really the only way to open a fraction of the referral links in a reasonable amount of time and how it was and still is recommended in all of the major referral threads) or it's entirely unfair to punish one group of people that break the exact same rule and not the other.

At this rate we're going to ban everyone except little Billy Keikeya who registered his copy of Dragon Age, replied to one Twitter challenge, and then forgot about the whole thing.

Lets also ban people who have more freetime than others. Its unfair when someone else has more time devoted to spamming links. When you commit an unfair act, you're cheating.

We should also ban anyone that made faked images of their point total to intimidate others out of the contest.

Great, then let's see Chris come out and say that they're doing this.

Bioware should have offered a banner with the bazaar and not told anyone what it does. Still you live and learn.

No reason to do that.
Theyre from Florida.

Yep, something like that. Those people aren't playing fair. That's lying.

That may be so, but they should definitely be banned from any further contests that may include them.

I just hope it takes less than two days. Up until this fiasco I have had great results with Bioware and their tech support. How this whole thing is turning out is really disappointing.

Given that the system was abused, I would be ok with seeing referal points capped at 500 a day.

This should have been done on day one.

The amount of people involved  doesn't change the morality of the issue. You Cheated you get punish You didn't you don't. How hard is that to understand

I'm going to have to agree here. While I always hated the referral link = points idea, there's no reason to punish people who didn't cheat.

My opinion of BioWare has been going down over the course of the past year. I used to be the definition of a fanboy...I was aware of the flaws in their games, but still loved them will all of my heart.

Ever since the ME2 teaser, however...it's plummeted. I'm still retaining hope that ME3 will bring back some of the glory of the first game...but if it weren't for Dragon Age, I probably would have stopped paying attention to BioWare. That's not to say I wouldn't still buy their games...but I'd stop caring about the name.

Everything about this contest was a joke from the beggining...they CLEARLY didn't think it through.

Just thought I would throw out there, remember that for the next three days, referrals are going to be the only way to get any extra points, since the Twitter challenges have stopped for now.

So I doubt they would do anything too extreme with the referral system now unless they wanted to add some new way to get extra tokens, or else everyone would be completely frozen in points and there would be much less of a point to continue the competition.

I've been a fan boy of Bioware since I picked up KOTOR. I can't even remember how many times I've played through that. I loved dragon age and ME2. It's stuff like the "twitter then hope we random your twitter" and the "spam the link if you want a prize" stuff that makes me respect the company less.

I think we can safely say with certainty Bioware will Most definitional have a possibility of not using the token system in their next contest

That's true.
It's plain ol' "points" from here on out!
