That would be bad. But I guess in this case the mask opens only if the stars are right...
Or... or is that an Illthid and not Chthulu?

I hope they don't unmask her, tbh. There's not enough ambiguity anymore.

They don't have to unmask Tali, just quarians in general.  Then people can still guess at what Tali looks like with the benefit of knowing what the average quarian looks like.  We know they don't have human like ears from the books...  Nice to know if they have timpanic membranes like a reptile, pointy ears like an elf, or the feathery filaments I've been using.  Posted Image

If Bioware was smart, they'd unmask Tali but not do it in game. They should create a Tali comic like they did with Liara, and have her be unmasked in that. That way they don't have to model Tali's face in game and they could make money from all the Talimancers that will rush out to buy it. Also if there is too much backlash over the artist's rendering, they could always back away from it and claim that her appearance in the comic is not canon. It's totally win-win for Bioware.

That is, why I dont think that quarians will ever be demasked, and think it's good that way.

You Solomen imagine them like this, others may or may not like it.
However Bioware would choose quarians to look like, there will always be people who imagined them completely different and won't like what they see, when they get revealed.
Personally I am not too fond of your picture, but thats just my personal taste.

I for example like
i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae110/mascarb/1269307907556.jpg

or severuscoil.deviantart.com/art/Quarians-Suitless-Concept-155772073

or even master-cyrus.deviantart.com/art/Her-Face-155705623

is there a 1900x1200 version of that first image?

People are delusional. I guess Bioware wants people to stay that way.  I doubt they'll ever reveal her, that I agree with.

However, they've said they know what Quarians look like.  They do have the liberty to change it

I think what we can see in the game is pretty fascinating, but people seem to ignore that in the name of being "creative," as if what they actually look like would have nothing to do with what we've already seen of them.

I wish Bioware would have the guts to release what she actually looked like, people are spoiled and ridiculous expecting her to be the image of attractive they want - not in an alien way at all, but entirely human.

While we're at it, why don't we just assume Quarians have tentacles instead of arms, and the arms we see on the outside world are just mechanical reinforcements? That would make as much sense as giving Tali a mousy little nose and elven ears.

But it would be very Bioware to go for fluffy reality rather than anything artistically and scientifically interesting.  Oh well.  So much for real art in a video game.

Judging by the quarian skeletons  that can be seen in the game they are indeed quite human. Really, is it any worse than the asari? At least the quarians likely have weird eyes and of-course they have different body structure.

I actually have that model... I just haven't imported it into my render engine yet.  I might give rigging it a shot, since it is 3ds max and not a poser file Posted Image

Not one I knew of, but I can resize the pic for you, if you have a dropbox or something or if you give me your eMail adress.
Just send me a PM if you choose to.

This topic is a blight on galactic purity! Let none in my sight continue to live for their necromancy displeases me!

Tali face discussion is to stay in the quarantine zone that is the "official" Tali-fanboy topic.

Put on your NBC suits men! The virus leaked out of the quarantine zone again! We're gassing the area and then nuking the site from orbit! This cannot spread any further. Two Tali/Quarian face topics resurrected within minutes!

This is a black op gentlemen! No survivors!

I also think your pic, OP, is animu jailbait.

Considering Tali is just a westernized moe character, that would be quite the fit.

I really doubt Quarians would have hair due to the environmental suits. From what you can see in game, Tali also has a fairly large human nose. I would really expect them to be albino like (lacking skin pigmentation along with eyes and such due to the polarization of the visor). So their skin would be more clear than any color.

I personally like Tali and Quarians- but I personally don't think they should be a 'hot' race. When that suit comes off- if it ever does, I would prefer to find an image of sentient beings who have endured many things- but slowly weakened by their own technology.
