That's true, alot of it gets edited, especially American Hells Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmares, the put in dramatic music and cut it together like a soap opera compared to the British version.

He's an English chef who's become famous for his excessive swearing and short temper. He's probably one of the most famous and highly reputed chefs in the country and I believe his restaurants are supposed to be some of the best. Wiki Page
He's got nothing on Heston Blumenthal, mind you.
Ah I see..I don't watch tv much..too much brainwashing going on...

This. I am sure when he is in "business" mode he is at least a shadow of what you may see on TV, but on the American versions there are so many edits that what you see may not even be real anymore.

he's a bit of a jerk. some of his restaurants are overrated too. he has some great ones, but there's a few that aren't so great that get by on reputation alone.

Ramsay's an arse, but you have to admit he's made a good career of it. Blumenthal's absolutely awsome. He's like a brilliant chemist crossed with a chef. I like the fact that there's absolutely zero chance you could make his food at home.
Rgearding TV chefs, one thing I find hard to understand is how the hell he is her dad...
