I haven't seen this posted yet, so I thought I would.
That's right people, Mass Effect 2's latest DLC is going to have him discover a new Planet named Ferelden, get injured and temporarily replaced by your imported Grey Warden.

The only problem with that is the planet is named Thedas. Ferelden is only one of its countries/lands (it isn't even a continent).
I never really like sci fi-fantasy crossover games, they suck if not done well; and they usually aren't. D & D Spelljammer never won me over, "see your wizard sail through space on a space-sailing ship!" And there was that D & D module with the crashed spaceship, where your fighter could attempt to learn how to use a needler pistol.
Meh.

Well they had me on this one. I missed the fact that it was an April 1st joke and was playing my current round of DAO with the plan to import this character into this DLC. I can't believe this was really a joke cause it's not a bad idea!

Thinking about this idea prompted me to arrive at this (admittedly old) thread.
Recently playing both ME1 and DA back to back got me thinking how both these games do share some similarities, with pause time magic/biotic abilities and so on, but what would the forum think if Bioware (or a mod maker) were to create the Crossover DLC for real?
Where there could be a mission, say, set on planet Thedas (DA) were Commander Shepard turns up or vice versa a mission in ME were you pick up massive eezo readings coming from a pre-industrial world and land to investigate only to find the place full of biotics/mages?
I do however understand Cybant1's one concerns, of course such a DLC would have to be carefully thought out as mixing technology and magic together can be difficult, although not impossible if done right.
I recall a famous quote (I think) from Arthur C Clark, that any advanced technology would appear to be magic to primitive peoples.
Or should the game's universes say mutually exclusive?
There is good reasons for them staying apart. If after completing a major quest in DA, you might be thinking, that's a job well done. But if you look up at the stars (with the presence of the Crossover DLC in the game) you would realise that more battles are being fought up there. Some might feel this would "cheapen" the quests in DA, make them smaller, seem less important. Or others still, just might not like a sci-fi element in their RPGs
Personally (being a big fan of Arcanum), I think it could potentially be a heck of a lot of fun, but I am trying to think about this in a balanced kind of way.
