the book says that the blackblabe gloves and boot are drop items fron the high dragon in the dragon wastes, I saved right before I fight it and I've tryed 3 times and it not droping a darn thing, is the boot wrong

It appears that the book is correct about the game designer's intentions.



The bad news is that the *execution* of those intentions is bugged.

On PC, I've not tested it yet, but there appears to be a console approach to getting the complete set that can be a workaround until there's a mod or an official patch.



Activate the debug console, use "runscript zz_fab", and it appears every item in the game is there (along with "Debug Dude"). Will update once I switch drives and test this method.



Since I already have to give up and use the console to get Velanna's personal quest to trigger, I guess I'll just do *more* "cheating at solitaire". BW, pls fix kthxbye.

Yeah NOTHING drops from HWastes dragon, it's a huge bummer that late in the quest to get absolute ZERO reward.

that really sucks....... i really wanted my full set of blackblade, is the PC version of the game more "un-buggy" than the PS3 version, cause if so than im thinking i might be buying the PC version

bah, finally a set of rogue armor that doesn't make my character look gay, *cough* Trickster *cough* and some programmer ruins it with his incompetence, nice going.

On PC, using "runscript zz_fab" from the devconsole *does* give access to the full Blackblade set as well as most everything else in the game (as in, *all* the possible variants of Diligence...one copy of each.) There's also at least one mod that fixes the set. XBox/PS3 users continue to be hosed AFAIK.

So I have noticed (on PS3) that using Devour on enemies forces them (if they can be looted) to become lootable. I haven't tried doing this to the High Dragon yet, but I am testing it tonight. Unless someone else has some free time to try and kill the High Dragon and Devour it in the next 7 hours. If you do let me know your results.

Devour is the first talent in the Reaver line. As I have only recently begun playing a warrior I have never used this talent until about a week ago.

Only way to get the blackblade complete set is to use the developer console. That's what i did.

Yeah well I found out that the Devour trick does work, however, the High Dragon can't be Devoured for some odd reason. So the High Dragon is uber bugged. Can't be looted and can't be Devoured.

Has anyone here tried using a mod (like trvcrs' "all awakening items") to get the missing pieces of this armor set? Since trvcrs' mod uses a console command to get the items, perhaps it's possible to use the same command in origins to get the blackblade armor set? I haven't tried it myself, so I was just curious if anyone here had.

I've been through Awakening right to the end ..SIX times so far..and that High dragon never drops ANYTHING.  

So intentions are good, but fact indicates...that there was no follow-through ....lol

And here I was wondering what happened to the rest of the Blackblade armour and why that dragon doesn't drop anything at all..not even a spirit shard.

I have my answer....hehe

OH <-- PC user if that means anything.    Not sure how to do that console command thing.   I dimly remember using it in Oblivion...but don't remember how I did it.

You can use the get all items mod, or ... get all the items from the debug room.

Say hi to debug dude, he and I are becoming fast pals. I just have a weird feeling, though, I'm using the debug room more than the QA team did. 

Somebody should write backstory for debug dude, just like they did for private barbie.
