Can Shockwave ignite Warp Explosions? I don't think it does. Mabye I'm doing something wrong.

Isn't any biotic supposed to set off a warp explosion? I imagine it's all about the timing. I seem to be able to set off warp explosions with reave, don't see why you wouldn't be able to with shockwave.

^^^I've never been able to set off an explosion with reave.
I think a biotic power has to put an enemy into a rag doll state and have a duration for explosions to work. Since shockwave doesn't have a duration I doubt it has an explosion, but I've never actually tried it.

a dev explained how warp explosions work. They only occur with pull, slam, and singularity.

Really? When I hit a guy with reave and they go into their little arms out to the side looking up at the sky pose and then I hit them with warp it sure seems to "explode" It looks like a warp explosion to me, I guess i don't know what I'm seeing then. Thanks for the info

I would only add that, with Slam, the explosion can only be triggered during the lift, not during the slam or the subsequent cripple duration.

Just saying, I am 99 percent sure Dominate can be used to set up Warp explosions.

I can second the confirmation that we got from Eric ****nan. (I don't know why a developer name gets "bleeped". F-a-g-n-a-n) He unfortunately didn't put it in the sticky thread, which he or Christina Norman probably should.
Only Slam, Pull and Singularity set up the explosions.
Seeing anything else is just your mind playing tricks on you or seeing what you want to see. Reave, Shockwave, Throw and Dominate DO NOT set up Warp explosions.

I don't think so.
It's never worked on anything for me except with Pull, Slam and Singluarity. I have tried it with everything else. Sometimes it looks like you get an explosion when you don't.
The Samara recruitment is also misleading. Those toxic containers make all your warps explosive and this can lead to people thinking certain moves create an opportunity for explosions if they don't know what the containers do.

Damn. Didn't know that.
That's one issue I have with ME2 ... it's not transparent enough. I want stuff like weapon damage numbers ingame, damnit ...
