A lot of people will get banned with rage while Zynga fans will treat the forums like an AOL chatroom.

Agreed. If I wasn't at work I'd make a demotivational poster right now.
"Farmville
Apparently better than BioWare, Blizzard, and Valve productions"
That would ****** some people off.

I don't think that Bioware can win this, looks like Blizzard is leading.
ps. Go Bioware.

Illusive Man: Commander Shepard.
Shepard: Illusive Man, I thought we'd be meeting face to face.
Illusive Man: A necessary precaution. Not unusual for people who know what you and I know.
[Paragon]
Shepard: You might be the reason I'm unbanned, but that doesn't mean I trust you.
Illusive Man: You need to put your personal feelings aside.
Illusive Man: Bioware is up against the greatest threat of our brief existence.
Shepard: Blizzard.
Illusive Man: Good to see your memory's intact. How are you feeling?
[Renegade]
Shepard: I noticed a few upgrades. I hope you didn't replace anything really important.
Illusive Man: We tried to keep your PC as intact as possible. We need Shepard -- just as you were when Bioware
defeated Relic.
Shepard: What is Blizzard doing that made you decide to bring me back?
Illusive Man: We're at war. No one wants to admit it, but Bioware is under attack.
Illusive Man: While you've been trolling, entire colonies have been voting for Blizzard. Human colonies.
Illusive Man: We believe it's someone working for Blizzard. Just as the Space Marines aided Relic.
Illusive Man: You've seen it yourself. Your vote bested all of them. That's just one reason we chose you.
[Renegade] Shepard: If you're after Blizzard, just point me at the poll.
Illusive Man: Miranda was worried you'd be resistant. She's not usually wrong.
Illusive Man: I have a weblink ready to take you to The Escapist, the latest poll that's happening.
Illusive Man: Miranda and Jacob will vote with you.
[Paragon] Shepard: Is this a volunteer vote, or am I being volunteered?
Illusive Man: You always have a choice, Shepard. If you don't vote for the developer I'm voting for, we can part ways.
Illusive Man: But first go to The Escapist.
Illusive Man: Find any clues you can. Who's convincing the colonies? Do they have any connection to Blizzard?
Illusive Man: I unbanned you. It's up to you to do the rest.

So.......a developer holds a contest where you can get a lot cool ****. You don't agree with that.
So that one contest was horrible enough to outweigh everything they've done since they've been around?
The fact they held a social contest only to win another social contest outweighs everything they've done in 15 years.
Cheating is cheating.
Right, so their contest where they're giving away free PC's, lithographs, and other cool stuff to us is cheating?
The BioWare Bazaar was a countdown clock that got the attention everywhere. It wasn't just the escapist who covered it, nor was it made for that intention. This coundown clock was made last week, before round four even started. Do you naturally just talk out of your ass?

You answered your own question. None of the other participants are giving out actual prizes and why would they hold the contest during April when the company was founded in the beginning of February? Let's look at the timeline, shall we?
The Bioware countdown began the day before the Bioware vs Epic poll in Round three began and they overwhelmed Relic by a very wide margin.

The Bioware countdown ended the day before the Bioware vs Relic battle begain and again won by a very wide margin.
http://www.escapistm...c-VOTING-CLOSED
Now the auction, which promises to supply items to bid every 15 minutes without a schedule to maximize community attention, will begin the day that the final round begins.
You really think that's all a coincidence? The entire Bazaar was engineered to get the community involved in the Escapist magazine event. Notice how we're even herded over to Twitter which allows for a second vote in the Escapist event?

First of all, Oliver Stone:
You're an idiot. Just throwing that out there. You act as if ONLY the Escapist covered Bioware's countdown. It's Spring Break for half of the damn nation at the moment. People have time to jack around and read their twitter during their time off, which is why the contest ends on April 10th, WHICH IS THE FINAL day of Spring Break for quite a few people.
Second:
Wanna know why relic lost? Because Chaos Rising blew. Wanna know why Epic lost? Because they haven't made **** in the past year. Why would Bioware go through this huge process of giving tons of free stuff away. Do they ADVERTISE the link to the battle with the rules of the Bazaar (which has made quite a few people from Canada, New York, and Florida mad)? No.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems more like an ad campaign to get folks to sign up for Twitter rather than being an objective poll, what with the double-votes and all.

Silly me, I only now stumbled across this thread. I've been posting a link to the BioWare vs. Blizzard poll on a few character support forums, hoping to win some votes for Bio. But it's finally about time for me to sleep.
I'm simply scared of waking up to see the results tomorrow.
