I'm an Arcane Warrior myself, so I'll tell you what I did.

First of all, I got my Blood Dragon armour and used that for Origins, if Blood Dragon armour is available to you then I suggest you use it. As for Awakening, armour isn't particularly important in the beginning part. Just use a generic Dragonbone set when you import your character and get to the Blackmarsh as soon as possible. This armour set can be found in Blackmarsh.

I'm going to throw a curveball into the equation and suggest Felons Coat. Yep, that item usually earmarked for a rogue also has many of the things you want for your AW ... decent armor rating, good mana regen, low fatigue, good defense and dex that adds more defense and more importantly attack.
