when I played 'firewalker' which I was in Prothean's ruins site. the site was protected by kinetic barrier. I tried to touch that barrier by hammerhead. it was significant damage to it. it seems powerful.
however, is Geth boost shield used by the same technology? I am not sure. if so, why is it not really effective in battle? I don't barely use that though.

That kinetic barrier is powered by 3 or 4 generators that you have blow up to take down. The geth boost is just powered by your suit and only boost your shields a bit. Not even close to being the same thing. It's like comparing the Thax cannon on the Normandy to an assualt rifle, dude.
