Well, if you side with Harowmont and half the Assembly attacks you, you probably kill off most of the people involved in wrongly exiling you so why not? That's how I play too. Considering I plan on sending her back to Orzammar after the game, I doubt she'd want to go to a place that wrongly exiled her.

Not seeing anything that indicates that you don't know Alistair is king. #4 and #5 (above) is dependant on if you've done Landsmeet yet or not. I'm guessing you either get "future king" by default or you don't get an option at all. *shrugs*Kryyptehk wrote...

4. PC: I am in love... with the future king of Ferelden.
5. PC: I am in love... with the king of Ferelden of all people.
4-5 first lead to:
Gorim: *Laughs* I can't say I'm surprised.
All then lead to:
Gorim: Then I thank the ancestors for their kindness, for I too have found my heart. My wife is a surfacer, a good woman.
Gorim: We're... expecting our firstborn before the spring.
etc.
(you don't get to whine about him leaving you if you go this route, though)
What do you say about Alistair if you don't know about him being Maric's son? Or does your character just magically know this suddenly, then get hit in the head so she forgets it?
There is a disappointing lack of VO comments for Gorim in Denerim. I had been hoping to see stuff like, "Gorim is heartbroken that the noble found love again" or "Gorim's heart is bursting with joy upon the sight of his beloved lady!" =p There's nothing, really.
Edit: If you see Gorim after crowing Harrowmont, you can tell him, "I am here and Harrowmont rules in Orzammar. We are avenged."

But..... he did find some happiness with a new wife and kid apparently O_O
I think the DN works best with Alistair... think about it
- both displaced royals
- both had older brothers Calian/Trian that were betrayed and died
- Both the DN and Alistair are rescued and made into Wardens
- Also Duncan freed them both from rather dreary lives at court, that were both full of betrayal and corruption so they could go around Ferelden adventuring together
Or am I just a sappy romantic at heart? Hmmmmm.
I totally can see them together quietly rebuilding the Order during the years they have left.....

@Cypher; There is a DN/Gorim romance option, sorta. He calls you "my heart" and says he will love you always. And you embrace one last time before you are exiled. It is soooo sad.
....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then he fecks off to Denerim and gets a merchant's daughter pregnant!
YEAH I SEE YOUR DICK WASN'T CRIPPLED, GORIM. THANKS A LOT. REALLY. THAT'S LOVING ME ALWAYS.

I think it's because he kept trying for two years to get a crew to go into Deep Roads to find Branka, but wasn't getting any help from the nobles. Don't you need permission from a deshyr to even get a pass into the Deep Roads? Sounds like he may have repeatedly tried to get an audience with King Endrin and Gorim probably did his duty by escorting him out.Sarah1281 wrote...
Really? He blames Gorim? I thought Branka just pretty much decided to go off and the rest of the House had to follow. I'm kind of curious about how Oghren was left behind, though. Did she kick him out of the House? Leave while he was somewhere else? Just tell him he wasn't welcome?
I have not seen any details on how Branka abandoned Oghren. I think she just pulled a disappearing act on him and made him look like a fool. She was probably already involved with Hespith and didn't care what happened to Oghren, didn't bother to tell him what she was doing.

When he was caught playing the Noble in the Proving, this only helped illuminate the vast social chasm that existed in this Caste system. And when he obtained some form of prestige as the Warden, he was going to do what it took to help solve this issue.
On his return trip to Orzammar, he noticed that his sister had chosen a murderering thug for a mate, but one that was willing to see political change in a system that no longer worked for all. So the Warden worked as Harrowmount' agent the entire time, saw and heard that he was a better man and good commander, and made certain to show how corrupt House Aeducan had become. And the Warden made a point to reveal the many failures of the future King's second to achieve any goal.
So in this ending, Sister is sitting pretty as Ambassador and advisor, mother and mate. The Dwarves of all castes are starting to meld into a common society. The Assemby is disbanded, and maybe has a wake-up call if they are allowed to reform. And Lord Harrowmount was conscripted as a General in the surface forces against the Blight, but only his wife is aware of this 'truth'.
It is good to be the King; even better to be the power behind him.

My DNF is siding with Bhelen, much to her own surprise. She just realizes that it's about bigger things than herself, and she's not going to be the one who ends the reign of House Aeducan.Cypher0020 wrote...
Greeaaat I love the political managing here.... what's a DN supposed to do? Not like they want to see thier own house fall.... but my DN would love to see some of the casteless and the strict social lines go down......

As for the casteless, I'm a little confused by your comment as it's Bhelen who gives the casteless new rights.

....What? If you side with Harrowmont, the castes are just as strict and the assembly stays together. I'm not critisizing your decision, but the ending you describe is the one for Bhelen, at least the assembly dissolving and the castes being less strict.

Yes, siding with Harrowmont does put your own House out of power but once the Blight is over, Gorim tells you that Harrowmont appointed you head of House Aeducan and given that he basically loves you and you are (unless you don't kill/talk into suicide Branka) the only living Paragon, it should be perfectly doable to became King/Queen afterwards, so there's only a few years break in Aeducan rule.So the DN has to turn on their own house?

Side with her and then persuade her to do it.

I feel that that's a better ending as Branka gets some sort of redemption for feeding her house to darkspawn, she realizes that she was wrong an regains some semblance of sanity, and Oghren got to help Branka a little rather than having spent two years begging people to look for her and having to cut her down once he found her. Besides, it's easier to believe that we found Branka from two years ago than we found golem!Caridin from a few hundred years ago. And do we really want it public knowledge that a Paragon was betrayed like that? No one wants to hear that.
Of course, my DN was freaked out that she had to kill a Paragon and essentially talked the other one into suicide, something that no one ever found out about, of course.
