The greatness of a book/movie is not determined by the numbers of people read/view it. In fact quite the opposite. Harry Potter will probably be the best sold book of all time, doesn't make it the greatest however, not by far.
If you want to write a fiction, don't do it to appease the masses, do it for yourself.
And I do! Missa is in my head and I loveeee it. Apparently so is a b*tchy noble hunter with a heart of gold.

Really? You'd think people would remember that she does have a world to save and won't have much luck with that if all she ever does is talk to her party members or get laid. I really liked the chapter (except for the obvious part that still makes me sadBecause people will fast foward to the parts they like when there's a bigger picture. Interestingly enough the last chapter I did I was quite proud of (previous ones were THIS IS NONSENSE WHAT WHY AM I PUBLISHING WHAT) and it didn't go down to well with the majority of my readers who I think read it for the party banter and the Zevran romance aspect. I know someone who likes their dwarf lore aspect liked it, but... Well, the last thing on Missa's mind was LET'S BANG LOL. For once.
The bigger the picture, the more plates to spin. Those warden/romance stuff is niched, despite popularity, and does what it says on the tin.
I know that people really love the Alistair romance, but given how pervasive it is in the fandom I'm really getting sick of reading about it...which really rules out most stories I've come across.

I don't like Lina, she's mean. And that has nothing at all to do with a certain description she might have used of a certain princess...soignee wrote...

Nope, it's definitely just my belief that Missa deserves better.

oh, no, just seconds after noting her abs, I noticed that the bra was loose enough to create wrinkles that obfuscated her nipples.
I was disappointed and angry, and felt somewhat pervy.
Decided to ignore it in my post.

The tutorial tells you what they're there for, doesn't it?
Really?
It's likely I completely missed it, I was pretty tired during the all-night play session I finally ran across Lyrium veins in the Deep Roads. (Kept thinking I was almost at the end...I was wrong...)
I'll have to pay closer attention on my next run-through, and see if it notes the exception for dwarves.

No, Xena like pretty much all other characters does her things with the Power of Protagonist which is the greatest superpower any fictional character can wield, for it ensures they will always be stronger, smarter, more skilled, more resilient and in the end, triumphant. Even if it requires the idiocy like ConservationOfNinjutsu, Conservation of Competence, the Idiot Ball and others to pull off.Costin_Razvan wrote...
Hey, at least she didn't need buffed up SUPERPOWERS to kick SERIOUS ass. She only did that with the sword, chakram and whip she used in her hands and her wits and will. She was a cruel warlord hellbent on conquering the world until she decided to help it, and brought the end of Olympian Gods.
If anything, the shows which do grant their characters superpowers are more honest about stacking the deck in favour of the hero(ine). Although no less obnoxious.

I like a good romance story. Hell I consider Casablanca the greatest film I have ever, but not these pathetic Alistair stories people spin around, as if his romance was something deep. Deep my ass, it's very shallow.
Hell, at least Zevran stories are interesting at least. Or a few of them.
Loghain romance stories are disappointing. They changed him completely as to make him be a different man. Seriously.

lol...agree that this Allistair buzz is overplayed...but...it's not as bad as all the Tali nonsense on the ME posts (wish I didn't register ME).

Anyone with a tiny bit of sense knows that the Morrigan romance is the deepest and best in the game
*sigh*
A woman that has never been loved, and acts like she doesn't need it. At least it is a lot more interesting than the Jack romance *shudders*. And it is my favorite of the bunch.
Edit: Well, the platonic one with Sten is my favorite, but most people don't count that one.

Knight: I fully agree there. Though I might argue Anora romance ( if it can even be considered one ) is also quite interesting in itself.
I see the potential for a Cousland / Anora romance, but it's not featured in the game, nor the expansion (except with a small hint in the epilogue).
And my Cousland is too loyal to Morrigan to fall in love with Anora, though he does like her.

Of course some women marry their high school sweethearts, so your milage may very.
Morrigan romance is the tumble that turned into something meaningful to me. really ripped my heart out to be honest.
Zevran is too many layers and can be exhausting to deal with, but I do like his SEX IS GREAT AMIRITE WANT A MILK SAMMICH? attitude to it, and the way he deals with his past is pretty cool, despite himself.
Leliana creeps the **** out of me, and I love the ladies. Sorry Leliana
