While I refuse to have an Orlesian character (and if the next game is set in Orlais then mine were all adopted/their parents were travelling elsewhere when she was born so she isn't really Orlesian), Aunn and Sereda have a lot of problems.my Brosca doesn't like my Orlesian either, it's okay.
(I really need the characters in my head to stop having conversations now...)
For instance, Sereda really wants Bhelen on the throne for Rica's sake and Aunn couldn't care less about that girl who kept slandering her and ended up putting Harrowmont on the throne because Bhelen couldn't be bothered to be polite and she wanted to become Queen. Not to mention Aunn's really clueless about the casteless and kind of spoiled and Sereda doesn't like the entitled. They did sort all of that out, though, by the time they returned to Orzammar and Aunn decided she couldn't care less how much time Rica spent with Endrin (and she doesn't know much about Noble Hunters anyway) so she got to spend more time with her son.

Missa however, well... Her story may change from time to time in my head (currently I'm dithering if her and Zevran will even stick it out in the long wrong) is there. My Orlesian is more of a background/supporting character, but I do like him. Currently Lina is being really loud and all WRITE ME WRITE ME and I'm all LOLno, no matter now pretty you are you're not dominating the plot. Shoo.

There's Anastasia the HNF who fell in love with Alistair but didn't harden him and only killed Loghain and didn't put Anora on the throne out of self-interest and enjoys be the one really in charge (especially as Teyrna as well as Queen).
Ahria the CEF wants to advance the cause of her people so she made Shianni the Bann so the could have two elves out there advocating their cause and ended up with Zevran as he was one of the first elves she'd ever met who was willing to fight. It's ironic because the helpless kind of ****** her off after hearing how Soris and Nelaros (though she couldn't stand the idea of an arranged marriage and that wasn't going to change just because he was cute she did respect him for dying for her) were the only two in the entire Alienage who weren't content to just let her and the others get raped.
Sereda the DCF hated Orzammar and had to be practically dragged back by the rest of her party. She wanted to go with Harrowmont as she thought he could help destroy the city but Rica ruined her fun by having a baby with Bhelen. She made sure to amass all the wealth she could and buy only the finest armor/weapons just because she could now. After the Blight, she visisted Rica occasionally but mostly just pretended Orzammar didn't exist.
Lairarda the DEF is completely nuts and often changes between being convinced she's all of the other Origins without realizing it. She has, in fact, reflected on how she wasn't going to put her brother on the throne no matter what her sister had to say about it and didn't realize that she switched Origins mid-sentence. Alistair really had to step up much quicker if only because she really couldn't be relied on.
Caunira the EMF couldn't be bothered to get involved with Jowan's plan at all and so ended up just having Irving outright say that he wanted her recruited after Jowan escaped. She didn't really mind the tower because she thought it was better than the Alienage but she was glad to leave it. Less glad to be Ferelden's only hope.
Angélique the HMF is the most shallow and self-absorbed character I've ever created. Cullen is somehow in love with her but she thinks his name is Edward and that the signs of his crush just mean he's an idiot with a speech impediment. She's far too fixated on how gorgeous she is and doesn't seem to notice how much most of her party (especially Alistair) hate her. She's very talented but those that aren't in love with her think she has a 'regrettable' personality.
Reidin is my only male character and is a DN. He's mostly just interested in getting laid and gaining glory but he will be returning to Orzammar to look after his son Gorim Jr. He's fine with putting Bhelen on the throne as he never wanted to be King as that sounds like a lot of work and really boring and as far as he's concerned, all is forgiven since he's now a Paragon.
Finally, there's my canon DNF Aunn who's good at politics but not as good as Bhelen, a bit of a snob, mildly obsessed with her heritage and 'pretty' armor/weapons, in love with Gorim but tries to be reasonable about his (fffffffffffffffffffffffff-) marriage, wanted to be a GW AND Queen but didn't see how she could until Bhelen got her exiled and then Harrowmont offered her the opportunity to succeed him, kind of hates the surface, thinks Alistair looks too much like Bhelen, and has developed quite a few daddy issues since Trian's death.

I had to reroll my first Brosca because I was all over the place with her, mostly making choices just to unlock achievements. Since my first Aeducan had her game end badly with Alistair, I tried again as Brosca with Alistair, determined to not repeat my mistakes. Now, I enjoyed the rags-to-riches angle with Rica being a dwarven king's mistress and Brosca 1.0 being a human king's mistress and I am glad I had fun with it, but it just didn't really feel like it fit a dwarf commoner that well. Alistair and Brosca barely had anything in common and I was more interested in Zevran or Leliana since I felt they understood her better.soignee wrote...
My Aeducan I need to reroll again, as I don't know who she is. Your Aeducan, Aimo's, Gilsas... even the Aeducan's in lolfanfic I read have all influenced how I percieve mine and I don't know anymore.
Missa however, well... Her story may change from time to time in my head (currently I'm dithering if her and Zevran will even stick it out in the long wrong) is there. My Orlesian is more of a background/supporting character, but I do like him. I am going to make an Aeducan 2.0 just so I can have an intact Alistair romance (especially when tmp finishes that hairstyle mod I was PMing you about -- that is worth the wait) and I am going to make a conscious choice of how she's going to be different from Gilsa. I don't want to feel like I'm playing the same character twice. I'll have her side with Bhelen this time and she will agree to the dark ritual for obvious reasons. I am going to have to drop the "commander" angle that I play Gilsa with, but I don't want to do the ditzy princess story either. (Again, Aimo is good inspiration -- she is the reason why I want to TRY to make it work with Alistair.)
AND I will make Brosca 2.0. *MIIIIIGHT* side with Harrowmont just to keep it different, but I don't know if I can bring myself to do that to Rica. I haven't decided on Zevran or Leliana romance for this game yet. I've already romanced Zevran in two full games and two unfinished games while I haven't really given Leliana a fair chance. I'll decide later.
*scribbles in notebook to keep all the dwarves straight*
P.S. I really love my orlesian, despite lack of origin. Her actions were totally different because she thought like a surfacer, not quite beholden to dwarven values. I hope we can import our orlesians over into sequels.

He's middle aged, about 10 years from his calling and has very different priorities in life, and pretty much sent the wrong person as they gave him an oppurtunity to start again. And yes, he is in my head boiling milk on a saucepan and lecturing the companions on the correct use of spices, as he's from merchant ilk originally, and only becamse a Grey Warden due to an Incident with a chevalier.

This doesn't appear to be true, could it be they were simply pulling your leg? The Toolset cutscene editor allows to use any existing character from game as "stand in" and they definitely appear to keep their regular size when i put them next to another character. Don't grow magically bigger, even in these romance scenes.Gilsa wrote...
BTW, useless info that doesn't really matter, but fun to share: Apparently during the vanilla dwarf sex scenes, the dwarf model is actually a larger size so the animations would line up better. One modder described the dwarf male as Andre the Giant and taller than the human model when it is used for vanilla sex scene purposes. I had seen another modder basically say the same thing, but now that I'm hearing it repeated, it reminded me to mention it. I rarely watch the vanilla sex scenes with the dwarf because even the one with Alistair seemed off. The dwarf's head seemed larger than Alistair's head. I couldn't understand why until now. I remembered seeing an old video of the dwarf male going to bed with Zevran and he was so massive. It seemed like the Incredible Hulk taking on an elf. Mystery solved.
The size change may be an illusion, a combination of camera being typically placed much closer to the player/dwarf character than the other person, and the fact dwarf heads are much larger (relative to the body) than heads of humans and elves. Put Oghren and Leliana side by side and Oghren's head is huge, it's just mostly overlooked because dwarves are shorter overall.

Why will you not make a dwarf version?
danscott said ...
Lehcar,
Believe me when I say I would love to because I like to play as a
dwarf (more interesting origins) but the model is a b(&*h to work
with, and even though I have a couple of clipping spots with the
human/elf versions, the dwarf model either lines up completely out
postion or clips all over. If I use the same model the vanilla verion
sex scene has, then all of a sudden your dwarf would look like Andre the
Giant compared to Morrigan. It's taller than the human model.
Gilsa said ...
danscott84,
That dwarf explanation goes a long way in explaining why dwarves
tend to get neglected. I'm curious if the vanilla dwarf female model is
also larger than the human model for the sex scenes now that you've used
the colorful description of Andre the Giant. I have this image of
She-Hulk in my mind now!
danscott said ...
Gilsa,
That would be fair because it also uses the ugliest face of the
toolset. Believe it or not, if you look at the scene for the
Alistair/HF, it uses Flemeth's head. (choking it back, choking it back)
Oh,and another thing about the dwarves I forgot to mention before is
they are almost built like gorillas. Take a look at the arms of the
character ingame, and you will notice that they are normal length
compared to the rest of the shorter body. Human and Elf arms extend to
mid-thigh like normal, but dwarves can touch their knees without
bending. The thickness of the male dwarf arms was what caused the most
clipping even when I resized the model to 53%.
Gilsa said ...
Huh. Thanks for explaining that. One last question if you'll indulge me!
Do the gorilla arms of the dwarves also mean that if it's dwarf on
dwarf sex, clipping will still occur or would it be easier since the
models are the same height at this point? (Like, for example, if the
dwarf male got his scene with the noble hunters in Orzammar.)
Edit: Oh, btw, to keep my comments relevant to the mod, I tried this
out with Morrigan and Loghain. No problems whatsoever, hee hee.
danscott said ...
Gilsa,
I don't think there would be a huge problem with dwarf on dwarf. It
would depend on the animations used. The FE/Zevran animation I used
for this would at the beginning, and probably the Morrigan/HM when they
hug at the end would have issues with the arms, but other parts of it
should be ok. I think it would take some knowledge of editing the
animation itself to use bits and pieces.

I pulled the guy off the bed and planted him upright, in neutral pose. As you can see he's nowhere near being taller than human, or larger than a regular dwarf. His head is larger than human head and the body is much more thick, but these are standard dwarf features, not something modified in any way. Although certainly, these larger features are likely to create impression of much huger creature if he was put on the even eye level with a human or an elf. Which is i'm guessing the issue Charsen is experiencing when working on the improved kisses.
