There are several different ways to play out the confrontation with Trian so there's room to roleplay an evil bastard versus someone who was misled and has no choice, but to defend herself when Trian makes his move.
I would just make a save before you know you're about to approach the area where Trian's body is normally found and then if you don't like the dialogue you picked, just reload and try a different tree.

Oh where is that murder-knife when you need it? You could just throw it at his head so he dies then continuing talking to Trian and when everyone else shows up two minutes later, you can explain that you violently killed someone so you could resolve things peacefully...Or you can surrender, but the scout in your group will scream "Never! A warrior does not surrender meekly! Attack!" (Obviously taking matters into his own hands for Bhelen to make sure the job gets done.)
I do wonder why, if you decide not to kill him, Trian's already dead. If the scout's still there to force a confrontation then the DN will either have to fight back or be killed and either way there's a good chance someone will die.

--------------------------------------
This is when a merchant faints because he's overwhelmed with your presence.
Gorim: "He's fainted. You make quite the impression these days." (VO: Deadpan and sarcastic)
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "Pardon. I was out of line there. I suppose we should move on." (VO: Catching himself, realizing his comment could be seen as rude. Trying to move on from it.) *End dialogue.*
Gorim: "Is it hard to be the king's child, never able to just blend in?" (Speaker is a trusted confidant of the king's child, and is trying to be sympathetic, knowing it must be difficult having people bow and scrape to him/her all the time.)
1. "Sometimes."
(IF: Gorim_Romantic) Gorim: "I see you for you, if that's any consolation." (Warmly, adoringly) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "It's the price of power, I suppose." (Resignation and acceptance) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*
2. "I hate it! I just wanted to talk!"
(IF: Gorim_Romantic) Gorim: "I know. It's all right." (Speaker is consoling his lover. He says this warmly.) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "There will be plenty of talk at the noble feast. Though a less pleasant sort." (This is a wry comment.) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*
3. "I am what the ancestors made me."
Gorim: "As are we all." (resignation and acceptance) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*
4. "I enjoy watching the little people scurry around me."
Gorim: "They do that well enough." (snickering) "Shall we move along?" (Respectful suggestion) *End dialogue*

Gilsa dissecting the dialogues with the toolset, nice work. Interesting to know you set your Gorim's personality at the beginning. I have always gone with the romantic option.
Sarah1281 and nikki191, yes there should be righteous vengeance against Frandlin Ivo

Silk Merchant: "You honor me by visiting my humble booth. May I show you my wares?" (Deferential, but trying his best to take advantage of this situation to push something on the player character.)
PC: "You have something I might want?"
Silk Merchant: "All ladies love a bit of silk, do they not?" (Speaker is trying to sell his silks, so he wants to make them sound appealing)
Gorim: "Lady Aeducan is a warrior. Born of steel and bred for battle." (To someone who suggested that Lady Aeducan would be drawn to fine silk dresses. He should sound serious, intending to put the merchant in his place.)
Silk Merchant: "A thousand pardons. Please forgive me, your Highness." (Apologetic, nervous. Fawning.)
Gorim: "This looks to be mostly fabrics from the human lands." (A statement of fact, showing curiousity.)
Gorim: "These merchants form alliances with those who have abandoned our ways to live on the surface." (Slight contempt when he talks about those who have abandoned their ways.)
TREE #1
PC: "How many of our people are on the surface?"
Gorim: "According to the scholars, more than five hundred. Does it matter? The surfacers are lost to us." (Thoughtful, as though he's trying to remember something.) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anythign else to be done here) *End dialogue*
TREE #2
PC: "It's nice to have such pretty things."
(IF: Gorim_Humbled) Gorim: "As you say." (Compliant) *End dialogue*
---
Gorim: "If it can't be used to polish my shield, what good is it?" (Speaker is scoffing at the fine silk offered by the merchant.) *End dialogue*
---
(IF: Gorim_Romantic) Gorim: "Perhaps some nice young man will get you a bolt so the servants can dress you in something frilly." (Teasing)
1. PC: "Ha! I don't wear frilly."
Gorim: "You don't need frilly, my lady." (This is a compliment. Speaker believes his lady is beautiful enough.) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*
2. PC: "That would be nice."
Gorim: "Well, we'll see." (Mysteriously) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*
3. PC: "Oh, be quiet, Gorim."
Gorim: "Of course, my lady." (Speaker has been making fun of his friend, and on being told to shut up, seems to comply, even though he says this with a slightly mocking tone.) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*
TREE #3
PC: "We trade our good steel and stone for this?"
Gorim: "It's a shame. I agree." (solemnly, hint of sadness) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*
TREE #4
PC: "Such luxuries only make us soft."
(IF: Gorim_Romantic) Gorim: "You look better in steel, anyway." (Speaker is complimenting his lover.) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*
Gorim: "As you say. Perhaps the other booths?" (Agreeable and compliant) "Perhaps we should get going?" (Speaker doesn't think there's anything else to be done here) *End dialogue*

My Aeducan is with Alistair, somewhere. Probably eating cheese. She feels a guilt about her people still, so she returns every so often to Orzammar to yell at Harrowmont and try to organise better trade/ relations with the surface, not quite bringing herself to poison him off the throne. I wonder if they're happy, got the overwhelming opinion it was a rocky relationship. Ah well, Alistair was unhardened so he has a small bossy wife/lover telling his what to do >.>
My Brosca is currently murdering Crows in Antiva and has said "screw you" to the entire Grey Warden order, and is playing politics over there. She's currently Salma Hayek to Zevran's El Mariachi, and on a murdering vengeance driven spree on the main city and taking out some Masters. Gooooooood tiems!
She comes back every few years to keep an eye on the magnificent bastard that is Bhelen, as she worries about what he would do when he tires of Rica. Rica is sweet and romantic and kind, but she is no politician; she was made ambassador and she's now smack bang in the middle of dwarf politics, and Missa worries she's not strong enough to cope.
(Missa is more in my head then my Aeducan, so I know what she would be doing. Lulz.)
