She was basically saying the DN (and Trian) deserved it for who their parents happened to be and considering she's not willing to accept her lot in life as a casteless in Dust Town, that just seems really hypocritical of her.

How would you accept being considered scum by everyone else?

One of the main reasons so many people hate the United States, is that the Americans ( or at least that is the image that they give ) is that they consider themselves superior to the other people on this planet. That is a fair analogy to why Rica hates the DN and Trian.

I know I don't consider myself superior to people from other countries. Why would I? It's not like anyone had a say in where they were born, after all.

I don't expect Rica to accept being considered scum but I hate that she's using the same rationale that she's heard for years about how she deserves whatever happens to her because of who she happened to be born to to decide that Trian and the DN deserved to die and to be sealed into the Deep Roads for something Bhelen might have done (since that was what the DC is asking in that question). They may have actually deserved it and they may not have but what does Rica know of the situation? Only what Bhelen told her and if he were really as innocent as she'd like to believe how would he know what happened? She's saying it doesn't matter if Bhelen killed them or not because they're nobles like if the DC died then in Jarvia's prison cell most people would say he deserved it becase he was casteless. That she can't even see her hypocrisy really gets to me.
