I assume lolfic is another name for crackfic.

And why are people so picky about dwarven proportions? Honestly, if you want to play someone who looks exactly like a ten-year-old human, play an elf! Dwarves have different natural proportions. It's really that simple.

Because people who really suck at drawing rarely attempt to draw and put their stuff up for viewing. Most artists who put their stuff up for everyone to see are at least competent in the basics.

Whereas, freaking -EVERYBODY- who really sucks at writing seems to feel obliged to both make the attempt and post the results. There are stories out there written by people I'm not convinced can read. This is why there are a thousand My Immortals for every really good fanfic you find.

Yeah, I can't draw so I write instead. But at least instead of posting it in threads like people do with fanarts you have to click a link?
