Of course, if he later insists that Loghain has to die for being a criminal than that's hypocrisy

Loghain is dead in that story. If he was alive then yes I could agree with what you said...

You can pretty much understand that my blood is boiling at this point, especially since I can't get the DLC to chop his head of!

How does Loghain die? The PC had nothing to do with him surviving Ostagar. Unless, for some reason, he decided to charge after all when the Beacon wasn't lit as it took Alistair longer to clear the tower without her? That makes no sense, though. The PC doesn't even meet Loghain again until the arrive at Denerim for the Landsmeet so how could no PC = dead Loghain prior to the Landsmeet?

Yes, but if Riordan wasn't there, Alastair doesn't know how to make people into GW, which was the alternative to killing him.

There's also the 'locking him in the tower a la Anora' alternative or 'teaming up like he did with Howe to try and stop the Blight' alternative but he doesn't want to hear it.

Loghain is killed at the Landsmeet in the story. Alistair is made King and he sided with Howe. Riordan is there mostly because the Archdemon falls on Fort Drakon as it does in the actual siege.

Would Loghain agree to that? I think suicide by Alastair is more likely then.

So that means there was another option but Alistair hypocritically sided wit Howe and killed Loghain.

And soignee, if you do that thing of evil I will be forced to search for Leliana's name every chapter and just not read any paragraph that contains it. There's really only so much I can take...Posted Image

You bolded the locking him up part which he doesn't need to agree to. He might not agree to following Alistair but given that he's willing enough to become a GW I think he could be convinced. Or is that only because Anora ends up on the throne when he lives and he's doing it for her sake?

He wants to repent. Being locked up in a tower isn't repenting.

Anora doesn't agree to being locked up, either, but that doesn't stop it from happening. If you take away his weapons, Loghain can't stop himself from getting imprisoned.

He would insist on execution (imo), and I think that Alastair would comply.

Anora on the other hand, wants to live. She does not want to be executed.

See the difference.

It's odd and I can't explain it, but I always had the sense that Alistair and Leliana would have hooked up if the PC wasn't around and in fact, I had wondered why it wasn't possible for them to hook up if the PC was not pursuing either of them. Alistair and Leliana being together in DC makes perfect sense to me. I'm glad it played out that way. I was waiting on reviews to see if I wanted to get the DLC or not, but after seeing the screenshot of Gorim being killed, I really don't think I'm up for it. Don't care about companions being killed, oddly enough, but it somewhat bothers me when I see dwarves being attacked like Gorim and Oghren. I wonder if it's possible to take a wide berth and complete the DLC without killing any dwarves or if it's necessary.

I don't understand why Oghren is in Denerim though.

You probably could avoid killing Gorim, but not Oghren ( since he is a boss ).

Exiled?

I doubt it. They seem content to just mock him and exile's pretty severe. Probably the same reason as with the PC: once it's confirmed that Branka is crazy/dead and his House is gone he just has no reason to stay.

If you didn't know, Serissia is posting pictures of the darkspawn chronicles to this album if you want to see who is being encountered in the game. She's still playing and updating as she goes along:

 :(

When I saw that, I looked at my Gorim commission and felt even worse knowing that was truly their last moment together.

Yeah, the five just-as-canon-as-this-DLC times. Posted Image

And that makes the difference between obsessing over a video game character, and just RP-ing.
