How does Loghain die? The PC had nothing to do with him surviving Ostagar. Unless, for some reason, he decided to charge after all when the Beacon wasn't lit as it took Alistair longer to clear the tower without her? That makes no sense, though. The PC doesn't even meet Loghain again until the arrive at Denerim for the Landsmeet so how could no PC = dead Loghain prior to the Landsmeet?Costin_Razvan wrote...
Of course, if he later insists that Loghain has to die for being a criminal than that's hypocrisy
Loghain is dead in that story. If he was alive then yes I could agree with what you said...
You can pretty much understand that my blood is boiling at this point, especially since I can't get the DLC to chop his head of!

There's also the 'locking him in the tower a la Anora' alternative or 'teaming up like he did with Howe to try and stop the Blight' alternative but he doesn't want to hear it.Yes, but if Riordan wasn't there, Alastair doesn't know how to make people into GW, which was the alternative to killing him.

Would Loghain agree to that? I think suicide by Alastair is more likely then.Sarah1281 wrote...

So that means there was another option but Alistair hypocritically sided wit Howe and killed Loghain.Costin_Razvan wrote...
Loghain is killed at the Landsmeet in the story. Alistair is made King and he sided with Howe. Riordan is there mostly because the Archdemon falls on Fort Drakon as it does in the actual siege.
And soignee, if you do that thing of evil I will be forced to search for Leliana's name every chapter and just not read any paragraph that contains it. There's really only so much I can take...

You bolded the locking him up part which he doesn't need to agree to. He might not agree to following Alistair but given that he's willing enough to become a GW I think he could be convinced. Or is that only because Anora ends up on the throne when he lives and he's doing it for her sake?Herr Uhl wrote...

He wants to repent. Being locked up in a tower isn't repenting.

Anora doesn't agree to being locked up, either, but that doesn't stop it from happening. If you take away his weapons, Loghain can't stop himself from getting imprisoned.Herr Uhl wrote...

Anora on the other hand, wants to live. She does not want to be executed.
See the difference.

I doubt it. They seem content to just mock him and exile's pretty severe. Probably the same reason as with the PC: once it's confirmed that Branka is crazy/dead and his House is gone he just has no reason to stay.Herr Uhl wrote...

When I saw that, I looked at my Gorim commission and felt even worse knowing that was truly their last moment together.

yeah I'm just going to play this for the lulz, I can switch my mind off from my "canon" pretty well so....
And that makes the difference between obsessing over a video game character, and just RP-ing.

I ....ok. I will just back away.
If only we could all be like you, Costin.
Sorry Gilsa, but there is only so much of Alistair Fangirl comments you can take before they get into your head.
