Alastair fangirls being that bad? Nah, not really.
I'm a rabid DA fangirl, seriously. I don't focus on one element or character, unless dwarves count? I mean, I like Alistair, Zevran, Shale, Sten, Morrigan, Leliana.... Even Dog! I even like the Dalish origin, and no f*cker likes that.
Cousland Queenies can make me gag, but I don't have to play one, do I? I'm not going to be up in their grill being all HI YOU ARE BORING. SO VERY BORING or anything, despite irritation.

You could only actually give money to what, two people? Nadezda is all 'I'll think of you when I go to bed with a full stomach' and 'you're as generous as you are beautiful' and I was like 'Wow, I didn't know I had five and ten silvers.'Rhys Cordelle wrote...

Dust town destroyed in riot
Some ****** thought that it would be a good idea give everybody money, women and children dead as result

I didn't say it would go well, just that it should be an option

Yeah, it kinda killed me to walk by that beggar in Hall of Heroes without being able to give him any money. We can give money to elves, but not dwarves, nooo.
yeah.
Also pickpocketing him results in nothing.
What?

'Tis one of the reasons I always choose him as King, especially on my first playthrough when I heard he was changing it the system.

Edit: It wouldn't have been so bad if upon our reunion he weren't such an **** and made it clear that a lot of it was quite personal.

My Aeducan feels the same, funnily enough.

What's with all the 'tis's and 'twas's around here? Is everyone Morrigan now? Are you going to call someone who vaguely looks like an ex-templar a fool?
OOH SWEET DELICIOUS IMAGES, ARE YOU MORRIGAN? PLEASE SAY YES

He really should have lied and claimed he knew you'd survive but just needed to get you out of the way when you see him again. It might make me less inclined to stab him repeatedly.Herr Uhl wrote...

Well, of course I'm Morrigan, I mean duh.

Seriously though. I thought his reunion was ok, ( just based on what I saw in the game not the script Gilsa took out ).

I have no reason to believe he's capable of being a great ruler just because he pulled off one brilliant move. He couldn't even manage to secure heir status with both me and Trian gone, after all. I'm only looking at the information available here.Costin_Razvan wrote...
Sarah, then you are not fit to be an Aeducan. You shame the dwarven people due to your selfish actions!

Edit: Besides, I do plan on coming back, remember? I'm not just going to abandon Orzammar to Harrowmont and his really old age.

But remember that he got a lot of support for someone who was considered a child a few years back and his opponent is no small fish. Harrowmont has experience and respect in the system.
So he definately has potential. That and it's clear he commands the loyalty of his men much more strongly than Harrowmont.
So while it was not perfectly clear that Bhelen would make a great ruler, it was pretty clear he was better than Harrowmont. Unless your DN thought she could replace Harrowmont and could be better than both him and her bro, then that's another thing.

All of his support were the same people he bribed for the DN exile in the first place and literally no one else sided with him. That is one way to gain support but I wasn't convinced the Assembly liked him and without that he was going to have a lot of difficulty (and they kept trying to kill him so he dissolved them which you can't really predict). And she knew she'd do better than Harrowmont (hard not to) but whether Bhelen could actually live up to the potential he showed with his Xanatos Gambit was really anyone's guess until the epilogue.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

What you plan on doing doesn't really matter. The game makes it clear that the Warden doesn't have any importance in the grand scheme of things beyond the end of the game, for at least 6 months, then she/he disappears again.
All of his support were the same people he bribed for the DN exile in the first place and literally no one else sided with him.
He didn't win his way just through bribing people. Many supported him out of spite for Trian, and others just because they thought he was a better choice for house Aeducan.
Either way. It is very selfish to kill members of your own house, and not side with Bhelen based on the assumption his changes will not survive, when the epilogue is quite clear in that manner.

So, you have to meta-game in order to be a good Aeducan?

Harrowmont's not going to die in six months and the Awakening epilogue says that eventually you disappear. If you're a monarch you disappear after many years. Why would we assume it's any different with other PCs?Costin_Razvan wrote...
