POST-CORONATION CEREMONY (DWARF NOBLE)

Gorim: "Ha! Glorious!" (exhuberant greeting)
Gorim: "You've really showed these humans something. Took down the Blight practically single-handed!" (pleased)

PC: "It's good of you to come, Gorim."
Gorim: "I'm not just here to witness the whole human spectacle, however. The Assembly contacted me with a message for you."
Gorim: "I guess they figured once a manservant, always a manservant. Ahhh, I don't mind. Thing is, we've both been given leave to return to Orzammar." (VO: this delights him)

You put a lot of work into this (well by my standards) and for that I thank you.

Seems that Gorim always ends up in house Aeducan if you're noble.

Gorim: "You know, I never could get used to that big hole in the sky. I'll be glad to get back underground."

I guess he's not so thrilled to be in Denerim after all.

Seems that Gorim always ends up in house Aeducan if you're noble.

I'm glad. He deserves it.

NOBLE HUNTERS

Ambient dialogue that fires up when PC approaches.
Teli: "What about that one?" (VO: The speaker is looking for a noble to seduce, so she can father his child and be raised to his status. Here, she would sound hopeful, and curious.)
Mardy: "I doubt he's up to the task." (VO: The speaker is looking for a noble to
seduce, so she can father his child and be raised to his status. The noble she is looking at here is somehow unsuitable, so she should sound dismissive and scornful.)
Mardy: "I'm not going down that road again." (VO: Muttering, bitterness.)
Teli: "Oh, I would love to end up with a redhead!" (VO: Speaker is talking about the dream of bearing the child of a noble. This should be said excitedly and hopefully.)
Mardy: "Would that Ser Blackstone were a noble, hmm?" (VO: This should be said teasingly.)
Mardy: "Stand up straight! They're coming!" (VO: Hurried, perhaps whispered, with a note of alarm.)

Male Noble Conversation
Teli: "What have we here? Two handsome, strapping noble lords! You both look so grand." (VO: The noble hunters have been approached by a high-ranking noble, and his attendant. This is a big opportunity for them so they are trying their best to be flirty and flattering.)
Mardy: "And isn't this the man of the hour? The king's son?" (VO: Coy, trying to flatter the person she is speaking to.)
Teli: Who's your friend, my lord? Another noble from the honored House Aeducan?" (VO: Girlish and flirtatious. Hopeful when she speaks about the friend.)

TREE #1
PC: "Why do you want to know?"
(line 1) Gorim: "They're noble-hunters, my lord." (VO: Speaker is explaining that noble-hunters try to get pregnant by nobles. He should sound a little hestitant. We're not quite sure how he feels about the noble-hunters.)
Gorim: "A man takes his caste from his father, and these women hope to bear a noble lord's son." (VO: Speaker be trying to explain this in diplomatic terms, carefully.)
Gorim: "If one is successful, she's raised up to concubine in the noble house to care for her child." (VO: The speaker is trying to explain why noble-hunters want to get pregnant by nobles. He should not sound scornful, but try to present this in a positive light.)
Gorim: "It provides new sword arms for the house, and many nobles look favorably on such women." (VO: Speaker is spinning this in a positive light, but we don't know if he really believes this himself. He is trying to remain neutral.)

1. PC: "I'm not interested."
Teli: "We'll be here if you change your mind, my lord."
(VO: Still flirting, even though she has already been told she is offensive.) *End dialogue*

2. PC: "Sounds like a good deal to me."
(Go to Mardy's response in Tree 2, line 1c.)

3. PC: "So you girls will sleep with any noble."
Mardy: "You're the most appealing, obviously. A noble from the best house there is. Handsome, too." (VO: Obsequious and flattering)
Mardy: "Can I interest you in a little bedded diversion?" (VO: suggestive and flirtatious)
3a. I'm always interested in bedded diversion. (Go to tree 2, 1c)
3b. Any time, day or night. (Go to tree 2, 1c -- conversation is the same)
3c. I'm not interested.
Teli: "We'll be here if you change your mind, my lord." (VO: Still flirting, even though she has already been told she is offensive.) *End dialogue*

4. PC: "These women offend me, Gorim."
Gorim: "Shall I run them off?" (VO: Speaker has noted that his superior is unhappy about the noble hunters and is eager to figure out whether she wants them sent them away.)

4a. PC: "No, let's just leave."
Teli: "We'll be here if you change your mind, my lord."
(VO: Still flirting, even though she has already been told she is offensive.) *End dialogue*

4b. PC: "Please do."
Gorim: "You heard the Lord. Let's go."
Gorim: "Well, that's a bit of class back in the area. Shall we carry on?" (VO: Smug satisfaction.)

TREE #2
PC: "This is Ser Gorim, of the Warrior Caste."
Teli: "Oh, then not a noble?" (VO: She should sound a little confused and hestitant.)
Mardy: "No, Teli, not a noble. Stone, you're thick sometimes." (VO: Exasperation at Teli)

PC responses:
1. I'm a noble.
Mardy: "That you are, my lord." (VO: Obeisant and submissive. Also flattering.)
Mardy: "Can I interest you in a little bedded diversion?" (VO: suggestive and flirtatious)

1a. Should we get to know each other first?
Mardy: "Of course. My name is Mardy and this is Teli. We came up for the celebration." (VO: Basic friendly introduction)
1a-a. Are you two merchants? (Go to tree 1, line 1)
1a-b. I thought you had to have a permit to be here.
Mardy: "We do, my lord, and quite the sum it cost us!" (VO: Eager to impress, girlish and innocent.) (Go to tree #1, line 1)
1a-c. What brings you here? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

1b. Are you two merchants? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

1c. I'm always interested in bedded diversion.
Mardy: Shall I come to your chambers after the ceremony, then--? (VO: Satisfied that her advances have been accepted. A little coy, but more business like.)
Teli: "I talked to him first! I want him." (VO: Girly, whiney, and complaining.)
Mardy: "He's looking for a woman, Teli, not a little girl." (VO: Gently, but almost condescending)
Mardy: "I'm the one you want." (VO: A little patronizing when she's talking about Teli, and she makes it 'obvious' that she's the correct choice)

1c-a. Then let's get to it.
Mardy: "No fear, Teli. Many nobles will fancy a younger girl." (VO: Satisfied, almost smug. Encouraging to Teli, almost motherly.)
Mardy: "I will see you when the ceremony ends, my lord." (VO: Respectful. She is also very composed.) *End dialogue*

1c-b. Do I really have to pick just one?
Teli: "Oh, my lord has his energy about him!" (VO: Excited)
Mardy: "There will be no three-to-a-bed, if that's what you're thinking. We both require full experiences all to ourselves." (VO: Speaker does not want to share the noble. She sounds firm about this.)
Mardy: "If you think you can manage us both, though..." (VO: Questioning, curious, a little flirtatious.)
Option 1: I'll take just you then, Mardy. (Go to the Mardy response in tree 1, line 1c-a)
Option 2: "Both of you it is."
Mardy: "This should prove most interesting." (VO: Calm, but showing some curiousity)
Mardy: "We will wait for you together, my lord, and show you the proper way to celebrate a princely commission!" (VO: Respectful. She is also very composed.)
*End dialogue*

1c-c. I've changed my mind. I should be going.
Teli: "We'll be here if you change your mind, my lord."
(VO: Still flirting, even though she has already been told she is offensive.) *End dialogue*

1d. I'm not interested.
Teli: "We'll be here if you change your mind, my lord." (VO: Still flirting, even though she has already been told she is offensive.) *End dialogue*

2. Why do you care if Gorim is a noble? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

3. What's going on here? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

TREE #3
PC: This is my loyal second.
Gorim: "But not from a noble house, girls. Ser Gorim, Warrior Caste." (VO: Speaker is admitting that he is lower than a noble, but he should not sound ashamed of this.)
Teli: "Oh, that's too bad. You're quite handsome." (VO: Disappointment)

PC responses:
1.  I'm better looking.
We came up for the celebration." (VO: Basic friendly
introduction)
1a-a. Are you two merchants? (Go to tree 1, line 1)
1a-b. I thought you had to have a permit to be here.
Mardy: "We do, my lord, and quite the sum it cost us!" (VO: Eager to impress, girlish
and innocent.) (Go to tree #1, line 1)
1a-c. What brings you here? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

2. Why do you care if Gorim is a noble? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

3. Are you two merchants? (Go to tree 1, line 1)

-------------------------------------

And I'm not typing up the female version of this, lol. Daaang.

They check out Gorim. He tells them he's not a noble, sorry. Disappointment. Lady Aeducan has 4 trees from there:

1. Let's go.
2. Are you merchants?
3. Why does it matter if you're noble, Gorim?
4. What's going on here?

2 to 4 lead to Gorim awkwardly explaining their role. Lady Aeducan has the choice of sneering at them, telling Gorim to run them off, simply leaving altogether, or approving of what they're doing (as in making the noble houses stronger by bearing more sons). They'll ask if Aeducan will recommend them to her brothers. She can think about it, agree to it, take her leave, or run them off. Apparently Gorim enjoys running them off. =p

That's it.

Time to watch Lost! :D

When you run into Trian and Bhelen in the noble quarter, Trian gets all bossy and snide with you. Blah blah blah. And then he leaves with Bhelen in tow. If Gorim's flag is set to humbled, he will sigh (or make a sound that indicates defeat). If not, then he'll go into "That was fun, nothing like being talked down to by the next king."

And if you tell the noble hunters you'll recommend them to your brothers, then:

PC: "I didn't even get to tell him about the pretty girls."
Gorim: "Somehow I think Trian isn't in the mood for that sort of thing right now... or ever. Shall we?" (Speaker is making fun of Trian behind his back, implying that Trian does not have a sense of humor.)

I said I'd mention that to them, well Bhelen, becasue it sounded like he was already into noble hunters and there seemed to be a raport between Sereda and Bhelen, like they were buddies who looked out for each other. Definitely didn't feel that with Trian. Plus sex in general seems to have much less taboos in Dwarf culture, they seem pretty open minded about it.

Well, sex in general isn't a taboo, but openly hanging out with casteless scum (despite their obvious charms) is not kosher. When you're a noble/any other caste.

It's as much a taboo in the circle as anywhere.

You don't have broke men offering themselves for a tumble there, do you? And let's face it, in a culture where Oghren can get lucky with reasonably attractive girls, sex can't be that much of a taboo.

yeah, I was shocked at how pretty Felsi was when I first saw her. I think literally uttered "Oghren you sly dog!" Outloud, or something similar. Maybe it's because he's good naked? Who knows...

I didn't dispute the hawtness of Oghren, it's the fighting nug-roasts at funerals part. But still, Oghren is a sex god.

Kind of makes you wonder why everyone up to and including the Warden is so insistent that he keeps his pants ON.

I love the legion of the dead concept

"To become somthing you must accept nothing" there like the french foreign legion but no i will never play a dwarf unless they have a legion of the dead backround but there culture and poltics behind Orzammar is interesting.
