Does anyone else really hate the way 'Brosca' sounds? I'm wondering if they gave the DC a less pleasant sounding name than Aeducan because of the fact that they're casteless or if they just randomly picked something.
lolwat?

So you like the name Brosca? I just know that I think the two best-off origins (Cousland and Aeducan) had better-sounding last names than the two worst-off ones (Tabris and Brosca) and was wondering what other people thought.soignee wrote...

Well that's just it. Brosca sounds like a thuggish name and like someone who could kick your ass and nobles are often pretentious.Gilsa wrote...
I actually think Brosca sounds badass while Aeducan can lean towards pretentious. A-douche-can.
Don't get me wrong -- I like both names just fine. Imagine Brosca and Aeducan in a boxing ring and the fans are chanting the names. Brosca rolls off the tongue better.
Oh, I'm just trying to figure out why I can't stand to play a DC despite my love for dwarves. I think so far I've come up with: the brand, everyone treats you like crap, Rica's new position still sucks, Leske is a moron, the mother is an abusive ****, you start off as a thug, Rica has to be a ****, Rica has bad things to say about the DN, Bhelen's condescension is more annoying than his insults to his sister, people are still wary of you for being casteless, I hate the name Brosca...soignee wrote...

Edit: Oh, and rags-to-riches stories are overdone. Plus IOrzammar but playing a DC makes me resent it.
It might be 'deeper' to have everyone hate you but it's not fun and everyone lists rags-to-riches/Cinderella story as a reason it's such a fun playthrough.soignee wrote...
The whole point is the the caste system=fail, why would you love it?
And Missa is certainly no rags to riches story! Rags to rags, to possible rage then maybe some riches then rags, then... Ah, you see what I mean.

Wait, so this makes you kill Kylon, Gorim, Kardol, AND Teagan? Why did anyone buy this?!?!

'Tis funny that's why.
But seriously. it makes em look more bad ass when it's hard to kill them. Teagan is a hell of a fight on Nightmare, Kardol fights with about 2 Golems and Legionnaires at his side.

Trying to prove that is so disheartening, though. Alistair physically had to prevent my DC from running away to Orlais out of apathy and she ended up pretty much hating everyone because she resented being forced into saving a world she didn't give a **** about and that didn't give a **** about her. Needless to say, that was not a playthrough I liked. At all. And having to kill all those people I'd rather have spared for the sake of the RP...soignee wrote...

For me it's about finding self worth and realising you're not a piece of crap everyone said you were. If that's rags to riches, then I'll gladly list that.
