What I learned from MMOs -- it IS possible to gain quite a bit of weight when eating only one meal a day if you do nothing but sit and play.

And, ummm, hmmmmm. Sleep is for the weak?

I learnt both those things during my brief college days. Well, I'm going back again, but still.

I put weight on at college too, due to a hugggggge lifestyle change. Everyone does, I think, as you start eating rubbish like pizza and pasta and really easy. quick things to make. For me it was toast. Copious amounts of toast.

Art college was a lot of sitting around on my ass either sewing/drawing. Printing fabric did involve lifting up some silkscreens, but eh. It all dropped off when I moved in a redonkulously expensive house (£450 a month for a student excluding bills? Lolwat) and I couldn't afford to eat.  Was at my thinnest and miserable too.

Knight: Well...in hardcore guild, like I was in. You only play two-three days a week most of the time, farming the bosses. The rest you just spend Pvping, farming, chatting with people etc. Or you can just not do anything, as long as you have enough gold for the next raid.

When new content comes up, then we raided almost every day, but even then it's four hours a day in the evening, and you are only asked to come four days a week. It's not bad really when you enjoy playing the game.

Casual guilds are just a bull**** though. Those people think they are pro, and leet and crap when they can't even avoid a ****ing fire. Sadly to get into a hardcore guild you first need to level up, and then go through a few casual guilds to get gear needed to enter a hardcore one.

It just depends on how well you know to eat. Most people don't know how to eat properly by the time they get into college.

Me? I go for meat every 2-3 days, and then I have either eggs, pizza ( homemade ), omlette, pasta ( homemade, not buying that crap at supermarket which you put in microwave ). I am quite thin, too thin if you ask me...then again I am six feet tall.

Yea same here (vis a vis height).
Not too thin though. I am Middle Easterner so I looooove to eat. Especially meat. Now that I think of it, I rarely don't eat meat.

My mom spent the entire second half of my senior year and the whole summer warning me about 'the freshman fifteen' and then I manage to go the entire year without gaining weight. Probably because I ate pretty much the same things...and the lack of meat probably helped on that front...

I moved to London and started to eat out more and drink copious amounts of booze, because that's what students do. Obviously. I was too lazy to cook properly, too much hassle when you're more interested in getting ready to go out. I ended up moving in with a foodie and by proxy I ended up eating properly and teaching myself to cook. Still have issues remembering to eat, to be honest.

Students: Too Useless To Feed Themselves. Mannnn student life really is training wheels for the real world, it really is. You get such a safety net to pretend to be a grown up in, it's lollerous.

Well, I meant getting fat as in going from anorexic to not being able to poke people's eyes out with my ribs.

Same here. I always eat Salami, Beacon on my sandwiches in the morning.

You could always get some real muscles, instead of fat.

Costin was a Pally tank as well? Strange.

I actually lost weight when I started going to college . . . my parents are greedy and I don't make a lot of money . . . until recently that is.

Frozen cheese sticks were my salvation.

Costin was a Pally tank as well? Heh, so was I.

I AM a Paladin Tank, till the day I die. After two years of theory crafting, proving to complete and utter morons that I can tank just as well as a warrior all the bosses, I won't be so quick to forget it. ( especially after having my cannon PC in Dragon Age a Templar Dwarf. )

Hell I can still log into my Space Goat Paladin at level 62 and still know all the instances, how to get 1k gold a day, and how to spec my class....I am such a nerd.

Seriously though, tanking as a paladin in TBC was like bashing your head against a wall. If I would give an example, it would regarding tanking Illidan.

Me: A paladin tank is the best for illidan, due to holy shield mechanics, and it would be better to have the warrior on the flame due to spell resist.

Raid: Lulz no. Only warrior can take shear.

two weeks later after many wipes due to shear on warrior MT, and lengthy discussion with Raid Leader.

RL: Costin tanks Illidan.

Random raid idiot: Ok guys, prepare to wipe...

Two weeks later, Illidan kill.

Me: So...anyone want to say anything about paladin tanks?

Raid: "Silence."

Me. I thought not.

One month and four Illidan kills later.

Random Raid member: Paladin tanks rock!

So yes...people are ignorant morons.

Ah yes . . . those were the days weren't they?

Either you made healing JAZZ hands in the back of the raid or you got laughed out.

Patch 3.0 holds a special place in my heart. *Maniac laughter*

Until you did something as bold as demanding to tank Brutallus. I got refused for a time, then tanked him on my guild's second kill. Every one I told this to, could simply not believe it. "Laughs".

I was a jackass, I admit, but a jackass who got what he wanted no matter who got in his way. And that was in the position of main tank.

It's within a year of ending the Blight, I think, since it says that after months of deliberation. Probably a little after Awakenings.

Awakening happens after six months so...it might just happened one or two months before you get called to Amaranthine.

But if it happened before there is no excuse for no one mentioning it. And then, of course, there's the 'why would a Paragon feel the need to go to Amaranthine.' If they were busy being a Paragon, it's not like the First Warden is going to come down from the Anderfels and MAKE them do it.

Because there are a total of three dwarves in the Vigil, and none of them have been back to Orzammar for some time.

That's because Alistair Posted Image the Wardens. It doesn't happen if he quits and they dont tell him he can't do it. He's just respecting their wishes not being forced to go.

And even if none of them have been home for awhile (they still here news and that's how they go sent to the Vigil in the first place) you'd think someone would mention that they're working with the new Paragon. Those are kind of a big deal.

I got my freshman 15 mainly because I wasn't exercising anymore. Ever since I was in elementary, I had been involved in sports one way or another. During the school year, I play volleyball, basketball, and softball depending on the season and then I'd run off to club volleyball practice in the evenings. And during the summer, I was in volleyball camps or tournaments. This took a mental toll on me because I just wanted to come home after school and watch TV or something mundane for a change, but nooo, had to get changed into practice clothes and run through scrimmages. (Why didn't I just quit then? It gave me and my dad something to talk about and he'd show up to all of my games. I did it so he could be more involved in my life.) So when I went to college, there was no more of that. I didn't try out for teams -- I just wanted to be a normal college student and I could not believe how much free time I had by not being in sports. (Got a part-time job instead.) I just didn't want to exercise because it'd remind me of high school and that's how I started to gain weight. I still have the discipline that was drummed into me when I was younger so it's easy for me to decide to start exercising again and really commit to a routine. Well, for several months at a time, at least. When you hit the goal weight, easy to start slacking again. =p

I simply pointed my guild leader to the Paladin forum. That straighten things out . . . . and quiet frankly we have a right to be jackasses.

Especially when it comes to healing DPS hybrids . . . "I don't care how low on HP you are I'm going to heal sombody else. . . . bastards."

No I'm not bitter.
