But...but dwarves like glory.

Glory is sought only by those foolhardy enough to now know the price of War - Emperor Drakon.

They are kind of obsessed with it. Glory Provings, killing darkspawn for glory, joining th Legion to regain their glory...they would like that part of Cailan, I think. Just...maybe not much else about him.

It will be Glorious - King Cailan Tehirin

Actually it's more like...

It will be glorious, -squeesh- : King Cailan Theirin

You can also get into college through the backdoor and not bother taking either ACT or SAT, and even a diploma is optional. First, sign up for two semesters at a community college, then declare a major. Get your grades as high as you can, and then apply to transfer to a state university. They'll look at your junior college transcripts, but ignore your high school scores if it looks like there's been improvement. You've got an excellent chance of acceptance, and only have to worry about somehow paying for it or scamming various charity/scholarship funds to pay for your booze.

Er, or so I heard.

To get into college you have to take one of two standardized tests (SAT or ACT) and send the college whichever one they accept. Where I live, it's the ACT and unlike the SAT which is out of 2400 and in which 2 points wouldn't matter the ACT is only out of 36 points.

So kind of Högskoleprovet for me then.

*rubs my higher score in mothers and brothers collective faces*

That sounds like a far more complicated name than SAT or ACT. Of course, those used to be short for the Scholastic Aptitude Test/Scholastic Assessment Test and American College Testing respectively but no one called him that. I think he ended up pulling ahead because the math section can't test anything higher than the lowest common denominator and since you are forced to take geometry by junior year I think (some people take algebra one part one freshman year and algebra one part two sophomore year) that's what you end up getting tested on most for math and I took that in eight grade and hated it so I retained practically nothing and only got a 27 on that section while he actually remembered part of it and did better in the math area.

We don't have any fancy abbreviations. It is basically "the College Test" if you were to translate it.

I had to take it due to my craptastic grades.

I had to take the ACT because it was a state law (not sure about other states) and a graduation requirement to boot.

So you have to take a test to finish the last High School year? In my country we have the Bachelor's degree, and even that is optional ( required for you to be able to enter College though ).

Some of the Colleges here, for the more popular choices ( Law, Medicine etc. ) also have exams of their own, but unpopular ones ( history physics ) don't.

A waste anyway if you ask me, since when you enter College you start from zero. ( Though obviously you get a lot to learn in a very short period )

P.S. The American high school system is very low rated on a global scale.

Different systems. I got well enough to get into anything but the doctor program at least.

Edit: As in medicine.

They make you take it at the end of Junior year so I'm not sure if you have to take it before moving on to senior year or if they make you take it with the juniors your senior year if you want to graduate.

Well, nothing is really standardized. Just the same, I live surrounded by people who honestly feel that they aren't spoiled for driving BMWs to school because they belong to their parents and so the HS around here are better than most of the rest of the ones in the country, some of which really do fail.

Did anyone else do the French Baccalaureat? Really hard stuff, but we get a 30 credits directly when we go to university.

A national test you have to submit to colleges. Still, most of the country deals in SAT but the midwest feels the need to be special with the ACTs. I had to take both and it was a pain finding a place that hosted the SATs.

No. That didn't exist where I grew up. There was only one in English.

The system here is based almost fully on the french one...so in a sense, yes.

How come Syria has a French school and Sweden doesn't? Is it because we were a "protectorate"?

Should I be concerned that when I spoke with all the party members in ME2 after giving TIM the base they all though it was a bad idea and hoped I knew what I was doing? I mean, even the not-so-good ones thought it was too dangerous.

Maybe. But there might be French schools in Sweden, only that I happen to live in a pretty remote part of it.

Well remember that most of them are aliens, who think Cerberus is about hating aliens. Or simply see Cerberus as the pro-human organization that it is, and would prefer their own races remain at the top. The only person I would trust is Garus, who isn't against it, but just doesn't trust TIM at all.

I am 100% that Tali would have NO issue with giving the base to the Quarian fleet for example..

I did not worry.
Grunt's reason is just idiotic "Baah TIM Is a coward"
Samara is a black and white zealot, I couldn't care less what she thinks.
Mordin, while a scientific genius, is not someone I would trust to decide military / strategic issues.

Garrus says that he hopes the base will be useful, while expressing some concern.
Miranda, same thing.

Legion has the most compelling argument, saying that humanity should not rely on Reaper technology. But I disagree, as the Reapers did not count on the fact of us learning and using the type of technology in the base (the secret to creating reapers, thus knowing them inside and out).

The game probably wanted to give you the feeling "Did you make the right choice? "Can you trust Cerberus"?
I personally I am not worried, at least not to the extent of me regretting my decision.

Garrus was all 'oh, I hope he can make use of it. And that he doesn't decide to make a reaper', Miranda the Cerbreus cheerleader said 'I never would have doubted Cerberus before this mission but now...I hope you know what you're doing', and even Grunt is like 'TIM is weak for not fighting himself. You shouldn't have given such an unworthy battlemaster such a nice prize.' Do any of them express doubts if you do destroy it?

What do they say if you don't keep the base? I've only ever kept it.
