What do they say if you don't keep the base? I've only ever kept it.
Most of them approve.
But as Costin said. If Mordin was able to take the base for study for the Salarian sepcial forces, he would have. If Tali could take it to the Quarrians (who love to salveage technology), she would have.
They have an issue with Cerberus and not the base itself.
So I don't let that influence the way I see Cerberus and the base.

What about Morinth? I was tempted to get her just to see what she'd say but I decided that it really wouldn't be worth it to have an unrepentant serial sex-murderer who was going to strike again and who still tries to tempt you into sleeping with her (WTF is with that 'you are so strong-willed I'm sure you won't die BS anyway?).
Well, if you try she kills you. Best game over ever.
She has Sigrun's voiceactress so her voice = liquid sex.

Hey, Shepard deserves it if he actually falls for that crap.
And does Mark Meer sound like a porn star to anyone else? His "I want you" line makes me burst into laughter.

While do I agree that keeping her around is foolish, in my current playthrough ( check sig link ) I plan on getting her then making sure she dies at the collector base. Or maybe I MIGHT keep her alive, just to see what happens with her in ME3.

She approves if you destroy the base.
No alien would be happy to see humanity advance well past them. Which is my agenda.

P.S. Out of curiosity, what do you think about keeping the Council alive or not?

Knight...don't you think it's a BIT over the top to keep Morinth? I am sure, Samara is a fanatic and all that but...
I agree. Morinth wants to kill you every bit as much as Samara wants to kill a Renegade!Shepard. And if you don't have a renegade Shepard, you don't have to worry about Samara killing you.

If you DON'T keep the base:
Thane: "You had to make a difficult choice, Shepard. For what it's worth, I believe you made the correct one." (He will say siha instead of Shepard if romanced.)
Miranda: "We had to do it, Shepard. Taking down the Collector's base was the right decision. The Illusive Man might not agree ... but we had no choice."
Garrus: "First Saren, now the Collectors. Remind me to never get on your bad side, Shepard. I almost feel sorry for the Reapers."
Legion: "An interesting choice, Shepard-Commander. Your species was offered everything geth aspire to. True unity. Understanding. Transcendence. You rejected it. You even refused the possibility of using the Old Machines' gifts to achieve it on your species' own terms. You are more like us than we thought."
Samara: "I wanted to tell you, I believe you did the right thing by destroying that base. The Illusive Man thinks he has the wisdom to utilize it, but he does not."
Grunt: "We fought a great battle, Shepard. And when you blew up the base instead of handing it to Cerebus -- hah! Something to think about -- if you killed the most dangerous thing in the galaxy, that leaves ... us."
Tali: "I can't believe we destroyed the Collector base. They said it couldn't be done. Then again, that's said about a lot of things you do."
Jacob: "Didn't expect you to light up that base, Shepard. Hell of a way to tell the boss you're quitting. I wish I could have seen his face. It's not over, though. Bad guys on the horizon, and now Cerebus wants your tail. Never boring, huh? I don't know what kind of time we have, but we better dust off and stay ready. You sure as hell know how to make enemies."
Mordin: "Collectors destroyed. Base in ruins. Extremely impressive. Illusive Man will be displeased. Fortunately, not human myself. Not my problem."
Joker: "Hey, Shepard. Glad that Collector/Reaper crap is over. It is over, right? ... It's never over."
Jack didn't say anything.
Edit: The above is for when you don't keep the base, my bad!

Only kep her in my lulz maximum renegade character. Which reminds me, she didn't seem to care that much if the base was kept either.
In my "canon" playtrough, I never pick Morinth. She has a sympathetic side, as she seems more "human" than her mother, but I would rather not keep a drug addict serial sex killer in my ship. Especially not one who murdered a human cute girl (listening to her diary really touched and angered me).

If Cerberus really is after you in ME3 then the only way to make that a reasonable use of resources would be to have the Alliance or somebody else after you if you don't destroy it.
Like they are going to help you...right.
Jacob is a fool. I am 100% certain that TIM will help you in ME3, no matter what. He is not an idiot to side against Shepard.
That said. Mordin's dialogue confirms how he views the situation. You just destroyed one of the best means to advance humanity, GG!

Hm, she said that she'd kill you once her oath was complete if you made her do something horrendous. Does not destroying the base count? Especially if TIM actually uses it? That said, I don't fault Samara for being like that. After spending 400 years hunting down her own serial sex-murderer daughter and having her other two locked up forever because both of her parents were Asari and she mated with an Asari...that would wear on anyone.
She can try and she will go down, as will all others who bar humanity's way.
Samara's milf like sexiness won't help her much.

It's a guardian angel for a goddess in his religion. That is what he calls you if you romance him (which I totally did).

I can't be pissed at Gorim if I'm going to do the same thing to Kaidan and he only has a year left, anyway. Why does he call you that before you romance him? Because he's happy you saved Kolyat?Kryyptehk wrote...
