Thanks for that, I actually love playng in photoshop. Fonts, gradients, textures, brushes (though they're a pain if credit is required). And the new upgrade has tablet settings built in...I may have to invest after the trial. I know there's a way to meet in the middle. maybe I'll just start with faces like you said. I think my dwarves would be easiest to start with. I did learn that once you get the head and face, the body can start as a stick figure and build up. Yay tutorials!

Have you seen her creepy as hell Hespith one?

Yep, it's in my favs...lol

Oh, Costin, I forgot to tell you last night -- the sheer amount of dwarf + Alistair screenshots is simply evangelism. Alistair gets their attention and then they notice the dwarf in the background and realize how hawt she looks with him and slowly realize, heeey, it's not the vertical distance that is important. We will slowly convert everyone to dwarvenism and then pound at BioWare's doors for dwarf-related DLC content such as traveling back in time to see Paragon Aeducan bomb the Deep Road tunnels or perhaps we'd get to travel back to the era where Cairdin made golems and we could volunteer, see what the process is really like, and run around as a golem for a brief time. That would be way better than playing as a darkspawn. Srsly.

P.S. Knight. I need a machiavelli opinion on my ff. If you would be so kind.

Right now, I'm really busy with exams, so I don't want to be addicted to an ff.

But definately after I finish, which will be about 5 days.

Why do you lot always turn to discussing fan fiction when there's nothing else going on?

-SUBTLE SUBJECT CHANGE-

Can Dwarfs be resistant to primal magic? I can see them being resistant to everything else . . . but primal magic?

Because out of the four most active members of this thread, three of us are currently writing stories?

They can. I would think Earth Magics would pose a greater concern. A fist of stone or an earthquake are not something you can just resist.

and the rest of the other active members are sort of forced into reading it by proxy, lol. I will say this thread has helped though, especially some of the suggestions.

Uhm, greateski.

Primal Magic has four sub-classes. Fire/Frost and Lightning. If you want to discuss the Earth subclass, then that's different.

What are you getting at Costin?

How is being smashed in the face with a boulder and ignoring it any stranger then being set on fire and shrugging it off?

How? Does a inferno suddenly stop being hot?

It's the same thing for all of them. They could be grounded or something to lead away lightning, but you cant resist cold or heat.

Someone highly trained people are able to be set on fire and escape almost unscathed, and that's today.

Getting punched by a ton of rock, doesn't exactly work the same way.

Well...I think I may have a mild obsession, honestly. Or is having over 930,000 words written over 128 fanfics considered normal?

I have summer school starting next week. And one of the two courses I'm taking is STATS. Ugh. Posted Image

Am currently attempting to get through the end of the second chapter of The Keening Blade (brilliant, BTW, and hilarious with Loghain and a non-Queen Cousland as the main characters) while getting distracted by this forum... I have it open, though.

That is fire resistance, not magic resistance. And cold resistance (though that is mainly the same thing).

How does being resistant to magic change anything?

Ohai, so, this being like, thread about dwarves and all, thought it'd be good place to ask...

let's say the DA dwarves looked like this:

(caution, nude dwarves hiding under the links)

da_dwarf_1.jpg
da_dwarf_2.jpg
da_dwarf_3.jpg

... would that be ok, should it be changed somewhat, or do the dwarves completely lose their charm when devoid of the orangutan arms and it should not be messed with? Posted Image

(didn't touch the bust size much for this one because well, dwarves *flails*)
