Maybe they'll pull a " few hundred years later resurrection" out of their ass.

ORZAMMAR LIVES FOREVER

Under Bhelen, you mean....under Harrowmont, i'm not so sure....

There was an interesting point that had got brought up in the Alistair thread. The Alistair and Zevran threads could very well come to an end if the game moves on without them and introduces different romances in the future.

The next game most certainly will not contain Alistair or Zevran romance. Ah the nerd rage that will be on these forums once they realize that ( idiots for thinking it might continue, this isn't Mass Effect )

Considering both Origins and Awakening hint at continuing, and Morrigan's child is such a huge decision point in Origins. Calling people idiots for thinking there will be more, when bioware implies it is rather harsh, and insulting. I was disappointed when Awakening didn't include our LI's, and I'll be disappointed if it happens again. But unless you have an inside solid source that guarentees the knowledge that they won't, there's nothing wrong with people hoping they'll return and being disappointed when they don't.

Well, I'm of two minds about this. One -- if they do deal with the consequences of the dark ritual and follow up with Morrigan being an ever-powerful sorceress, then Alistair would need to be involved somewhat, especially if he fathered the baby. On the other hand, there are so many scenarios for killing off Alistair, Zevran, Leliana, that unless they want to devote resources to working around explaining their absences for exported games where they're not alive, that I can't see them being brought back as actual companions that continue the journey with you. They'd be cameos at best, like Wynne was in Awakening.

If it's Morrigan's god-baby then it will amost have to be a new character as you'll either be facing an evil five-year-old or be in your late forties-early fifties when it becomes a problem and that's really close to your Calling anyway.

But appearing in a bolt of lightning on the stage of a play and suddenly being an alien would be pretty cool.

I think most of us would be ok with that, IF our Origins characters and their LI's would get a definitive "This is what happened, this is how it ended" somehow, and not some "But their adventures are far from over" in the last expansion before DA2. At least I would be. They've  said there's more expansions planned, they'd just have to end it in the last one, in a way that people (no everyone would be satisfied I know) could have some closure on their warden.

Problem is that we don't know if we're just going to deal with the dark ritual specifically with Morrigan or with the Old God soul itself. Morrigan is not raising it out of goodwill. She wants the power of the Old God. So it's still reasonable that our PCs will still run into her again, especially with the romance just dangling unresolved for male characters. If it's just about the Old God being recycled, then yeah, I can see time being fast forwarded 20-30 years and having to start with new characters. I saw an article somewhere where it basically said to hold on to our saves for DA2 just in case.

I am personally hoping that it will take place at the same time as DAO, but in a different place.

As long as they don't conveniently get rid of the PC from the first game I'd be good with that.

*is still pissed about Liara*

At least she got more lines, was glad to see you, doesn't accuse you of being a traitor, and gives you TWO sidequests. Did you see what happened with Ashley/Kaidan?

It won't bother me if Ali or Zev is not in the game (and I'm a Zev girl for sure), because I really like DA (I never bought awakenings). they really made a fun game with very interesting characters. So I'm sure if DA2 is a new warden (or possibly not even a warden, we don't know, do we?) there will be a romancible character I will fall in love with (game wise, i'm NOT a crazy person) as much as I love Zev's character.

Yes, but the difference was that they had a valid reason to doubt you or be so cold. Liara pretty much gave you to Cerberus, why nothing about that except in one dialog option out of 4 that you can choose one time and one time only.

Exactly. People can consider my words as insulting as they want, I will stick to realism then blind foolish idealism.

The reality of the matter is while the writers would want to continue the romance, there is only so much resources that they have on hand.

The only one I can expect to show up is Morrigan, and even then for her to have only a few different lines if you were in a romance with her.

Alistair? He is a king.
Zevran? Busy leading the crows.
Leliana? Either remained in Fereldan, or is busy in the Deep Roads. there is possible ending with her in Orlais, but small chance at meeting her.

Hiring actors costs money. Money that would be better spent elsewhere.

Liara pretty much gave you to Cerberus

Who brought you back from the dead....the others didn't even bother to find your body...she did.

I'm making saves from both games as it is (Awakening saves right at the Mother, where all your decisions are done anyhow). Origins I make a save right before the landsmeet every time now, just in case I need to go reverse something there...lol

Gilsa, Lady Jess, and soignee are already at least moderate Alistair fangirls although soignee's OTP involves Zevran.

Alistair and Zev get equal love from my PC's..well, ok Zev I think is winning but I like them both.

@Costin Uhh...well you could try a thread that says "No fangirls allowed" I suppose?

I don't consider myself a "fangirl" of any specific character, I love the romances with Alistair, and with Zev. They were done extremely well, and that there ARE fangirls, proves that. I also think Morrigan is friggin awesome too. The whole "fangirl" word annoys me.

This! I love my Mo, I love my Zev, I love my Ali, I love my SHALE...

I do love dwarvies a lot though, the lore/writing is amazing. I always say I'm a DA fangirl. I'm a prominent Zevthread poster as dear lord it's fun, and mostly not about zev, pretty much.
