Yay! I finally found this thread...
I am thinking of starting a Dwarf.. any thoughts as to warrior or rogue?? Planning on doing the Common first.

I don't know, for me Commoner screams for a rogue, while Noble screams for a warrior.
On one hand, you are supposed to be a thief (Commoner) and on the other, you are supposed to be a military commander (noble).

But it's up to you.

Aye, what he said.

Keep in mind that the noble origin gives you a family shield so if you wanted to use it, you might want to be shield warrior. The commoner can go either way. Rogue fits the commoner feel the best since you spend your life stealing and begging, BUT the commoner is also a thug that beats people up for his boss so the warrior angle also works nicely here.

Edit: My last commoner was a dual-wielding warrior who was a berserker because Stone knows he had a lot to be angry about. ;) Normally they are rogues because my nobles are always warriors. Nobles are groomed to be a commander so I wanted them to wear the best armor and represent themselves as the defender of both dwarves and Grey Wardens.

Yes. Either that or a woman that is still bitter about Gorim breaking up with her. :D

I used artrage. I took this picture from the game:

there is an option to use the game picture and trace it. So I painted it by tracing the image. I swear I'm going to free hand a painting, but I haven't dared yet. lol

I was thinking back, when someone commented on the fact we were discussing ME2 here and that the DA: O forums were dead compared to the ME2 ones.

Checking up on sales figures. I found out that Dragon Age: Origins had sold about 600.000 or so copies in one month....while Mass Effect 2 sold over 2 million copies in one week...sad really.

One is brand new game and the other is sequel to a very popular title. It's like complaining The Empire Strikes Back did better than any other movie in 1980.

The Empire Strikes back did not gross the most in the 1980s ( that was E.T. )...so your analogy is poor.

Besides. Mass Effect 1 was not that popular, certainly it had thousands of fans but not that many.

You've convinced me to try out the metallic paints, I sort of curled my lip at them and was all LOL NO but the textures on your duster painting were fabulous.

argh what am I doing now, writing or drawing dwarves I am confused!

http://en.wikipedia....n_films_of_1980

E.T. was released in 1982.

(i was talking specifically of year 1980, note the lack of 's')

edit: as for the first Mass Effect not being that popular... the Xbox360 version is reported to have sold over 1 mil copies in first 3 weeks, and 1.6 mil copies total over 6 weeks from the release. Not that popular, indeed.

The Graduate is a movie about a guy who is seduced by his future girlfriend's mother before even meeting her.

I make all my PC's slightly ugly on purpose. Especially my avatar, though I wouldn't call him fat.

...yeah.
