There are a lot of pros and cons with both the Alistair and Zev threads. I like that the Zev thread is pro-dwarf, but I really like that the Alistair thread doesn't spend their time bashing Zevran. At least the Alistair thread confines their abuse to their LI, which is just mind-boggling how far it can go.

There are also pros and cons with the pacing. More goes on in the Alistair thread but it can be really hard to keep up with, especially if you're gone for a few hours.

Zev thread is in a weird place right now, a lot of the decent regulars are being driven off because of it.

Ali thread somehow makes me rage, even with GUIS THIS IS MY NEW AMELL SHE HAS A KITTEN TATTOO ON HER FACE DO YOU LIKE HER ARMOUR IT IS A MOD I LIKE THE PINK makes me walk away and want to stab something.

It blew my mind the idea of people would even give you crap for drawing what you enjoyed about a game. Yeah, I'm quite weirded out by those who srsbsns discriminate on dwarf players, because I wonder if the attitude is somewhat telling of their own prejudices irl. I put the disclaimer so that I don't have to be bothered with that kind of attitude with stuff that I draw for fun, but they always seem to ignore the Wet Paint sign, come in and complain (rudely, too). And they have the cheek to get offended when I call them out on it. Yeesh.

Will I ever get tired of drawing Alistair/Aeducan? My spiteful little heart says nevahhhh.

And M!CousCous gets ****blocked time and again.

Aye, I keep hoping the anti-Leliana rage will pass soon. I think everyone is in a weird place due to it being end of school/summer starting/change in weather, etc. My cats are now fighting a lot and hissing at each other along with bringing in dead birds within the past week. Maybe the expo, if it has DA news, will pump some fresh excitement back in this place.

@aimo -- I loved being a dwarf in WoW. Hardcore loved it, but it really irked me when they took off the racial restrictions and anyone could ride a dwarven ram, anyone could wear a dwarven tabard, and so on. It felt to me that people were getting away with all the cool stuff that dwarves had without actually being an "ew, dwarf." So I can see the reverse of that attitude in play with a dwarf/Alistair pairing when in their minds, dwarves are probably poaching the best reason to play a human. We get everything they do (except the royal wedding). It could be a turf war. Could be stupidity. Could be prejudice. Who knows? =p

Yeah and there's basically nothing even though it's Friday...  Of course, do to my stupid virus I have to use my brother's crappy computer with the keyboard that barely works and I have no idea when he'll be back to kick me off...

Of course, the Alistair thread can also be scary. Like when you, say, make a stupid comment that you don't intend to have any real-world implications at all and end up accidentally pissing off everyone who has ever been in a long-distance relationship...

D'awww, that's a fave of mine There's a story behind this; Before Dragon Age came out, and after tinkering with the character creator, I was so determined and pumped to play the HFN and HM as my main PCs, even as far to plan their backstories and motivations and such. Played them, but I never seemed to really get into it (probably wrong class choice for the HFN). On a whim, I decided to create an Aeducan, and BAM she kung-fued the other two's assess and became my personal favourite. Stories/art written for her flow so easily.

Meanwhile, my M!Amell is still stuck in Ostagar, while F!CousCous is gathering cobwebs in some basement.

I am certain that most of us who enjoys your art on DA thinks that you should draw whatever you feel like drawing. That said, I am even more certain that I am far from alone when I say I love how you draw the cute and curvy dwarven princess.

Dwarven girls and boys are the hottest in Ferelden, it's a fact.

Looking back it was a really stupid thing to say but I wasn't really thinking about it. Someone said that they have a Queen Cousland who lives in Amaranthine as WC and she and Alistair just occasionally visit each other. Since she is not in any way doing anything that requires her to be Queen (or princess-consort if you're going to be anal about the title) I said that she might as well NOT be the Queen then and be the mistress. Unfortunately, she's an army wife who based that playthrough off of her own marriage and took it to mean that people who don't see their husbands all the time might as well be their mistress instead of their wife and then I got flooded with all these hypothetical situations IRL where you may not see your husband often. It was a mess and when I'm talking about the game I don't apply it to anything but the game while other people clearly apply it to their real lives so it took me completley by surprise and scared me away from that thread for a good couple of hours.

Tmp, I love Anora/CousCous, I really do. If I could, I'd make them have sexy fun times ALL THE TIME just because I love them so. But an anti-dwarf d*ckhead/self-entitled idjit has to juuuuust say something stupid that rouses my Pro-Dwarf Ire™ and BAM! CousCous gets blue balls again while Alistair never-ending backache intensifies.

Seriously though, I'm working on a serious Anora/CouCous comic, but I'm taking my time with it because I'd like it to come out decent artistically and story-wise.

The internet always makes the problem seem worse than it is because we don't have visual/verbal communication on the boards so things get interpreted differently. Nothing a little apology PM to the other party can't solve. One of my best internet friends was someone who thought I hated her and she would respond to me defensively and I thought she had it out for me, too. Finally there was a confrontation in PMs and it turns out we got ourselves wound up for nothing. Cue "omg, you're so awesome, how did we not become friends sooner?" fuzzy feelings. =p

It's from tmp's mild romance mod. This scene triggers the first time you have tent time with Alistair. Just a heads up, tmp hasn't finished his dwarf version completely yet so the kiss will not line up and it will end abruptly, but who cares? =p

Yup i definitely see where this was coming from and that comic was hillarious in fact   it's just the lovable way you draw AxC that made it impossible not to feel sorry for them (even though it's also too hard not to laugh seeing their misfortune and the reactions)

As far as I know, the "mild romance" is not compatible with "combined romance" so just swap those two mods out, no problem.
