He is an 80 year old guy who runs a hotel for the Rich right in a Post-Apocalyptic settings. He enjoys sniping ghouls and wanderers from the top of his hotel, as well as smoking, drinking as well as blowing up nukes in a town filled with "innocent" people,How much is he more awesome that the DA Alsitair? 10 times? 50 times?

'Tis funny...but I am ending up with a lot of Negative Karma...mostly because I steal stuff ( not easy playing on Very Hard ! )

Ehhh ... we don't know that. They did include a mini-dwarf romance with Gorim and they allowed dwarf PCs to romance the four love interests in the game. In additionto that, they didn't shy away from gay/bisexual romances either. It could just be that they didn't have enough resources to devote to romancing a dwarf. David Gaider made that post months before the game hit the shelves. David Gaider even talked about wanting half-dwarf models for the rare dwarf/human pairings so I don't really get the impresion that they have this pessimistic attitude about dwarves that some of the fanbase seems to have.BigBad wrote...
They probably didn't include a dwarf romance because no one expected dwarves to be as awesome as they are and thus gain enough popularity among the playerbase that there was a demand for it. After all, decades of cookie-cutter fantasy fiction have hammered into us that dwarves are supporting characters, who exist for two purposes: reaching your fantasy race quota during the world-building phase and supporting the main protagonist by selling him weapons, making him gizmos, or watching his back when he charges headlong into a horde of goblins/orcs/gnolls/orks/darkspawn. It goes all the way back to Papa Tolkien, who stuck a dwarf into LotR (apparently just to remind us that dwarves were important to the prequel even though they have no real relevance in this story) and then made him the most useless member of the Fellowship (seriously, is there a point to Gimli other than giving Legolas slashfic writers something to turn into horribly written, hilariously misinformed erotica?).
It's kind of ridiculous, though, tha tyou can get three human LI and one elf. I guess those that don't way to play a female or non-heterosexual character are out of luck on the elf front for this game. I wonder if they'd go with a female or male dwarf LI. I'm glad that this game is changing attitudes about dwarves for those who are playing them the first time. Doesn't bother me if people can't handle the idea of dwarf+anyone else. Well, not unless they protest outside of Bioware's office, holding up picket signs. Because at that point, if it affects my game, I will be there with my Legcrusher.
