As for Bhelen's personal motives. I think its part of his policy of rapprochement with the surface. Plus, he needs a good war to secure his throne well. In addition to the reasons mentionned above. Even the dwarves at the deep road entrance are scared at the idea of a Blight on the surface.

No, female dwarves naturally have smaller noses and the nose Endrin, Bhelen, and Trian have isn't even available although it is the default for male dwarves. And if all three of the kids are going to have the same nose, that means that either the mother likely had it as well which might have made her already too closely related to Endrin for my comfort level or she has the world's most recessive jeans ever. Kind of like the people Maric kept having children with, come to think of it.KnightofPhoenix wrote...
Sarah, if you want realism, your Aeducan had to have a big nose too

I know it is sound to take care of the Blight if it starts proving too much for the surface to handle, but Fereldan isn't the best example of a surface nation. It is just a drop of water in a large glass compared to Orlais in military strength. ( It can also be argued that pushing the spawn far back in the Deep in his first months as ruler would be a resounding victory. )
If Orlais starts losing, then yes it would be foolish to NOT march.

I think he probably is looking at the bigger picture. I mean, look at how well-received either the Dalish or the werewolves are initially for their part in the Blight. It would be all the opening Bhelen needed to strengthen relations with the Surface. Not to mention that a Surface war is a fantastic opportunity to get rid of his political oppoents without having to kill them himself and, if he's just killing the sons of Harrowmont supporters, without hurting his PR as much. And even in the expedition in the DN origins he was pretty set on not letting the Surfacers be the ones to do the brunt of the fighting against the darkspawn. Maybe he's a fan of the Paragon his House was founded from as well?Costin_Razvan wrote...
I suppose you are right in that Bhelen needs a good war to really secure his throne. However beyond that I don't understand why he feels the strong urge to march to the surface, not while the threat of the Blight is not a strong one compared to the other Blights in history.

Endrin:
-ice blue eye color
-white hair/beard
-white stubble/brows
-Nose: 57% "thin," nose size is maxed to 100%, nostrils widened by 55%, nose bridge is maxed out at 100%, tip of nose is increased by 42%.
-Eyes: 57% smaller than default, 50% squint

Trian:
-ice blue eye color
-bln hair/beard
-lbr stubble/brows
-Nose: 48% "big," nose size is default (0%), nostrils widened by 29%, nose bridge is default (0%), tip of nose is default (0%).
-Eyes: default eye size (0%), 100% squint

Bhelen:
-ice blue eye color
-dbl hair/beard
-lbr stubble/brows
-Nose: 57% "big," nose size is default (0%), nostrils widened by 11%, nose bridge is decreased by 39%, tip of nose is increased by 24%.
-Eyes: 32% smaller, 72% squint.
Just for kicks, I took off the "old person" layer from King Endrin and changed his hair color to Bhelen's so we could see what he may have looked like when he was younger. Not an entirely accurage picture since his default eyes are shriveled and his nose is very bulbous for his age, but you get the picture.

Edit: I went ahead and took it a step further. I reset his small eyes to default size, reset his nose size and bridge to default (like Bhelen and Trian), and gave him the same skin coloring as his sons. Changed his hairstyle to reflect better grooming for a man his age and gave him Trian's hair color this time. That's it.

And if any of you are hardcore RP and are obsessed over looking like your brothers, I can export these faces as .mop files so you can use them as presets for your character creator. Just saying.

Destroy it, probably. Orzammar has less of a population than Ferelden, so I imagine by the end there would be 2 or 3 dwarves left.
