The writer's point was that families do not always get along, I think. Care to share this fiction?

Well maybe but it's still a really bad comparison. I mean, it goes like this.

"He was going to kill me," she answered, "We were…out-maneuvered, you could say. But, in the end, all that matters is that my blade is the one that pierced and stopped Trian's heart."
"But…but…but…" Alistair stammered as his hands flailed around, gesturing uselessly, "He was your brother! You can't just go around, stabbing your siblings! You just…can't!"
Lana's eyes snapped open and there, below the sheen of drunkenness, Alistair could see an unholy rage burning, "Goldanna was your sister," she snapped, "Look at how well that went!"
Well…Alistair had to concede that point to Lana. He'd been expecting something along the lines of "Thank the Maker my little brother is safe at last!"and received "moneymoneymoneymoney!" instead. Why had he ever expected anything different? After all, he could never be simply Alistair. He always had to be a bastard-Theirin, illegitimate heir to the kingdom, now with fifty percent more riches! Or something along those lines…

Alistair's point is 'fratricide is bad and unthinkable' and Lana replies with 'well your sister you don't know just wants your money.' That has nothing to do with what he just said.

The story in question is Of A Kind. It's really good but it's Aeducan/Alistair so I'm not sure if you'd like it. I know the fact it's really good and adds a lot of little things I never thought of is the reason I keep reading it despite the fact that that pairing makes me ill.

Lana's point is that brothers and sisters can very easily dislike each other, it was a good way to point to Alistair like that using Goldanna. She isn't comparing killing Trian to Goldanna's treatment but rather she is simply using to point out the discord in a family.

On another avenue, I am currently making a new Dragon Age video, this one centered on my DN's Ultimate Sacrifice ( not that he would ever refuse the DR mind you, but rather the US is a great thing to base a movie on )

I think the DN would more likely be a warrior and DC as a rogue if you are RPing.

Alistair didn't say that all families should get along. He said that siblings shouldn't go around stabbing each other. So when Lana brings up Goldanna he should just go 'Yeah, that didn't go well. But she didn't stab me.'

I concur, though I could see the DC as a warrior too. A bruiser.

True, being a thug for a pos like Beraht would require the PC to be at least intimidating in appearance.

Being a rogue fits the noble too. Not that much open warfare, and rogues are generally slick bastards.

You can make a case for any origin/class combo, which is a great thing. The tougher part is the romance department.

I don't like the fit of rogue with DN as much. The character is so guarded and sheltered, and regardless of gender seems to have warfare training in a warrior culture. Not that a rogue can't be warlike, but it does cause question of where the more rogue-like talents would be gleaned from.

That's what, to me, makes Bhelen's manipulations all the more awesome. He's either not under such a watchful and protecting eye, or he triumphed regardless of it with all his shady connections.

Sony Vegas is fun! "Sarcasm". Two hours to render a 9 minute clip. "Sighs."

The "fun" part is that I can't even play something while it's going on....or it slows down considerably.

this.
Being a rogue is subterfuge, cloak and dagger. Suits dwarven nobility just fine.

...I can't believe I spelt subertfuge right while drunk.

I get the feeling that Endrin wouldn't have really noticed anything Bhelen did...it's part of his daddy issues. People just saw him as kind of there so the fact no one noticed isn't as impressive as the fact that he managed to win so many over to his side in the first place andd onvince them he could pull it off.

Finally out of Lothering. Do not know why but I hate that place so much. I just checked by companions approval ratings and Alistair is already down to -35! What a great start for comrades in arms.

I hate Lothering, too. It's SO annoying...more of my characters die theree when the darkspawn eventually come to conquer it.

kay so dwarf thread come up with a hella cheesy phrase a dwarf might use in the place of "that what nourishes me kills me" or "I find strength in my weakness..." Something like Oghren's last words at the gate but punchy and kind of "do or die."

You reward for getting it right is a cameo in DDW. Or something. And no, it's not as Generic Person Missa Bangs #5 or something.

The good part at least was there were tons of bodies for Leliana to steal from, and unlike the console version, you get free junk in your inventory.

"Prepares remark on Sarah's skill but keeps it to himself in the last moment."

Lothering is a nice zone I think. The Battle Music there is probably the best in the entire game and I like the challenge it provides.

Soignee: I thought you had a good one already? Do or die?

Anyway to give you a good one ( or so I think )."Let them come. I will grind them to an early grave."

True, the battle music is pretty good, but the rest makes me want to jump into a pool of lava. Maybe because I have been there so many times.

Give me a little more context. Is it a last stand or something like that?

Something a duster would have to remain defiant and it be a f*ck you, but slightly more poetic?
