I never knew there was a lockpick option. I keep discovering more and more about this game!

As long as he doesn't tell you why he was caged. If he tells you, then the lock won't pick.

Ah, dammit. That must have been why I couldn't get Leliana to pick it. I could have sworn that I was able to do it before. Didn't realize it was tied in to that line. Whenever I'm on a rogue, I just pick it myself without talking to him at all to save time.

Why is that? It seems rather arbitrary?

They are assuming that if we knew what he did, we wouldn't want to pick his lock? Meeh.

I thought you could pick his lock anyway, I had the whole convo with him once and picked the lock. Or maybe I'm just crazy from sleepiness. It's probably the latter lol

My first reaction was actually 'Wait, you killed how many people bare-handed? Welcome aboard.' Posted Image

LOL, yay, I failed the persuade check with Bodhan ("So what's your story?") so now I don't have to listen to that long-ass explanation of how he became a merchant! :D

I wanted to kick Bodhan out of the camp for his defeatist attitude towards reclaiming the lost thaigs but then I figured he'd probably take Sandal with him, so...

I dislike Bodhan's positionin in the camp. It gives him a good view of the Morrigan tent and what happens there. Dwarf ninja photographers!

That is true. Everyone has sex at Morrigan's tent. Actually, forget Bodhan. Morrigan is the one that has blackmail material here.

I assume it's becaue once you know what he did, the game decides it wouldn't be "right" to be able to spring a criminal without permission. Ignorance is bliss?

What do our we-didn't-bother-asking Wardens think he was in there for then? A Ferelden freak show?

Look at him. He's a giant, a foreigner, Loghain is having a cow about foreigners at the moment. Morrigan tells you what he is, and if you're cunning is high enough you can see a dialog choice that says you have heard people referring to the qunari as barabarians of the north. it's safe to assume that in all the panic he was locked up out of ignorance and fear if you don't know what he did.

Because you're probably in combat. Go to the zone line behind Branka's journal. You won't be able to zone, but it should take your rogue far enough to drop out of combat. Once that happens, summon your party to you and then finish off the spider queen crap. THEN you'll be able to do Branka's journal.

I was going to go with 'Branka's journal hates you, possibly because you're a Duster' but I suppose Gilsa's answer works, too.

I did that, everyone sheathed their weapons. Very strange. I thought maybe it was due to not waiting for Oghren to finish his chatter at Ruck's camp.

Aye, your two big stealth keys are cutscenes and just being out of range to drop out of combat. When you see Branka, you can stealth past the first big area of darkspawn while she blathers on, but once you get to the gassed room with all the golems, you're basically fighting from that point on until you see Cairdin. The other area I like to stealth/skip stuff are the cultists/dragons en route to the Gauntlet because that is boring, boring, boring.

I'm going absolutely nowhere without a rogue again. And likely it'll be Zevran...lol

Zevran is pure win when it comes to party banter.

Pair him up with Wynne and get ready to be floored.

He's also a damn good duel-wielding rogue. Too bad you can't set his tactics to have him backstab people on his own...
