I know that its just, would you rather live inside a rock your whole life, or stay on the wide open surface once you had spent a year up their?

If you found out one day you could breathe underwater, would you permanently move to live in the ocean after spending a year there, or would you rather go back to what you've been accustomed to for your whole life?

Living inside the rock your whole life is alien concept to us because we've never lived there, at all. So can't really imagine why a person would want to live there. But we're not dwarves.

Well said. Posted Image

Very good post Gilsa, about returning to Orzammar. I know for sure that Dain has a desire to go back, but can't due to his responsabilities and the impossibility of living in the same city as Bhelen (two swords can't fit one scabbard). But he still visits, like after the Blight and then after the Amaranthine crisis.

My Aeducan also plays political go between, but she put Harrowmont on the throne.

My Brosca? Ah, her story changes in my head all the damn time. I know what she's doing after the blight by 4 years, at the most. See how the sequel will shape her, I guess.

"Laughs" Well your Brosca does resemble you I suppose. So you keep changing your mind about things.

I'm not Missa Brosca, I'm really not >.>. My biggest self-insert is my Aeducan, to be honest.

No, what keeps changing is my perception of Zevran. Zevthread people have shifted how I think he would react to the Crows, and the plot is changing because of that.

You mean that he wouldn't use children to train as crows? I chuckle....Zevran is perfectly fine with using the Anvil, so he is amoral.

He would have a problem if there elven children involved, but otherwise he probably wouldn't care.

If I were Queen Cousland with unhardened!Alistair...

1) Naval building program to create jobs and bring Ferelden out of Blight-induced economic troubles.
2) Get the band back together.
3) Take down Antivan Crows.
4) Sail new navy to Antiva.
5) Profit.
6) Institute a normal Antivan army and navy like the rest of Thedas

Just sayin'.

I will have to read a bit more about the Legion; I thought criminals, exiles, castless or dark spawn glory seekers made up the Legion who are considered castless all together. They are stuck fighting dark spawn until they died, there is no turning back.

With Bhelen's reforms, a castless dwarf can fight darkspawn, but gain some rights while still alive and may be able to reap the benefits if he/she lives in battles against the darkspawn.

I remember in the epilogue card that it stated those castless who fight get their rights, never mentioned if the other members of the castless gain those rights or nbot

I believe there's some codex that talks about the Dwarven Nobles encouraging the castless system because many of them go and join the legion of the dead and end up fighting on the front lines (cannon fodder).  So in public, the Descher's despise the casteless and denigrate them, but secretly they need them to hold the fort.

Dwarves rocks, can't wait to play one once I'm done with my gay elf Archmage...they live for boozin, bleedin, breedin and battlin, reminds me big time of L5R's Crab Clan... (Duty is like a mountain... specially when you live under that mountain)

Some of the rougher warrior caste are Crab-like, I suppose. But I got a way stronger Scorpion vibe from the nobles.

I found it funny that Bhelen disolves the assembly and uses the Mages that start to show with Dagna against the Darkspawn. Looks like he didnt really need the anvil anyway.

In Costin's fanfic it seems to be:

First Warden: Go be Arlessa of Amaranthine.

DC: Like hell, I'm going to go reclaim the Deep Roads.

FW: Don't make us come after you.

DC: Bring it. *Kills Wardens*

FW: I'm starting to suspect you may not want this job.

DC: Send Loghain.

FW: But he was supposed to spend the rest of his days in Orlais to be all ironic and stuff!

DC: *casually starts sharpening weapons*

FW: *nervously clears throat* After much deliberation, I have decided that Loghain is the best person for the job.

"Chuckles." It is exactly that.

You could argue he has a loose system of morality but  not none at all.He does get upset if you want to kill the helpless mages, after all, and the Dalish although he does have a connection with the latter. Besides, the idea initially was to use volunteers and forcing people to become golems was only the worst-case scenario (that only happens under Harrowmont) once voluneers dried up.

There are various levels of gamers soignee I think anyone who plays a game more than twice a week is a gamer but there are some really crazy gamers out there. Mostly people reference Portal though. Play that and a good 75% of gaming references come into focus. Plus it is free on Steam.

Zevran also has a problem if you allow the mage to take elven slaves. Zevran does not have an established and coherent morality system. He would be the first to admit this.

I do not know if he would train children to be crows. On one hand, he knows the conditions were depolorable. On the other, he knows the methods are efficient. But I can imagine him being with either position.

I think he would allow it, after all since when does a Master take part in training recruits?

exactly this to be honest. But taking on the Crows is pretty much taking on the country. To do this in a story I would have to invent politicians, princes, crow masters, merchants.... Basically, I have to invent Antiva, which I already started doing. I also need to wrap up DDW and possibly stop mucking about with lulzy oneshot stories and FOCUS.

Not sure if this makes any sense as I exhausted and beaten from seld induced idiocy of throwing myself down a very large, very steep mountain bike trail.

WRY I DO THESE THINGS WRY

Al Mualim apparently trained Altair since he was a kid. Granted, the Hashashins are ten times more badass than the Crows.

Yes well, they are the only people in the world who can say they told Saladin to **** off when he tried to defeat them.

I know! So easly inflitrated his tent at night.

I went to Masyaf last year, their main HQ in Syria. It felt creepy, and the desire to do a leap of faith was distracting and dangerous.
