I might have been #4 because I had posted a bunch of Morrigan + dwarf tent pictures early on, but someone complained that it was the Leliana, not Morrigan, thread so I took them down. If I had left them up, it would have qualified as spam without content according to the post the moderator made.

What post was it? And what's with all these people getting banned without me? I'm very jealous, I'll have to start flirting with people more:lol:

Oh god I just wrote out a lulzy double entendre banter between Zevran, Missa and Alistair in response to this which I think would get me banned if I posted it here, even though I veiled it through puns! DO I POST OR NOT?

I'll do this Zevran-style.
Zevran: So, my dear, since I am educating you in matters of my culture...
Missa: Yes, the Antivan milk sandwich was perticularly enlightening. *punches arm*
Zevran: Ah, I show you these things and you throw them back in my face. I see how it is.
Missa: If I recall there was no throwing of anything...
Zevran: Quite so. I think it's perhaps I introduce you to another aspect of Antivan, ah, food. Are you game?
Missa: I can see where this is going...
Zevran: Oh to your favour, I can assure you.
Missa: Right. Yeah. I'm sure.
Zevran: I see the disbelief there. Tell me, do you know of The Maker's fruit? Ah, we call them fico. Trust me, I could, ah, consume fico all night. There's a special way of eating them, you know. They have to be slightly warmed up. You have to do it right or juices just run everywhere... And you lick around the skin, of course. Delicious with honey, I might add.
Alistair: Maker, the Antivans are weird. A ritual for a... Well, what is a fico? Is it a fruit?
Missa: No, wait. Don't answer him Zev, I think I've got this. Let me guess, it's slightly plump, has juicy flesh inside and is probably hairy on the outside?
Zevran: Close enough, and I'd say more fuzzy then hairy.
Alistair: Sounds weird. Hairy fruit? Who would eat hairy fruit?
Zevran: Ah, Alistair. You have no idea... We Antivans, we like our food. Feast Day is a chance to simply ravish a good meal, you know. Several courses, fine wine... We really know how to prolong festivities, hmm?
Missa: Prolonged, huh? Don't listen to him, salroka. There has been no prolongment, trust me on this.
Zevran: You are a cruel mistress. I see how it is. No fica for you.
Alistair: Riiiiight. I'm... Going to stand over there now. And leave you to it. Alone.

Hmm i had Harrowmont still active as ruler during the Awakening (he's said to send the dwarves you meet in the Keep) and i got the slide about the ceremony, having sent the tablet. It went like this:KnightofPhoenix wrote...
He definately lasts more than 6 months, as he is still alive by Awakening. But yea I wouldn't give him more than a few years.
The funny thing is, the epilogue in Origins with Harrowmont shows that he ignores what the casteless did in Kal Hirol and all the effort your PC put to send him the tablet were in vain, as he doesn't give a ****. Unless the epilogue in Awakening is met to retcon that of Origins, which it shouldn't.
The Commander of the Grey was invited to Orzammar as a guest of honor at a feast commemorating the defenders of Kal'Hirol. The Shaper read the names of the casteless off the marker, then presided over a ceremony to return them to the Stone, as befitted warriors of their stature.
so Harrowmont maybe doesn't attend that personally but he also doesn't oppose the actual recognition to take place. Which is all i really hoped for sending the records, it'd be quite weird if it sparked anything more.

Ya know, I'd like to see our DN's get the chance to rule (DLC even) after that. I can see Serena, and probably Aidan as well after that holding provings for the Casteless that were strong and able bodied enough. Maybe not "official" provings, as that would make the Deshyrs' heads explode. Then taking the winners and allowing them into the warrior caste, and of course allow their families to join them. Do this once or twice a year, and you could have one hell of a military force.

If it was as simple as single positive case being able to turn things around, racial and social prejudices in our own world would be nowhere near as persistent as they are.

I think it just generally takes much more than single accident which goes against the person's whole life beliefs, to actually maybe make them question these beliefs. Especially for an old person like Harrowmont.

Still doesn't change the fact that they are stupid.
Casteless sacrificing their lives for those who thought they were scum is not a simple accident. It was an event of great importance. For Harrowmont to not be moved in the slightest by this, makes him an idiot, even if his idiocy is common.

When I heard talking about dog licking his own ass I didn't think of the fica. Or at least the orifice I think of isn't generally fuzzy.

It happens all the time IRL. Chances are that they'll see those casteless as exceptions and not examples. They may even feel that even though they were casteless the situation was more desperate than it had ever been so the Ancestors chose to favor them in order to preserve all of Orzammar. Unless the darkspawn manage to actually attack Orzammar itself then circumstances won't be dire enough to apply the same sort of exception.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

The ones that I face usually don't have sacks, or need their backs and cracks waxed. And I thought Missa had that gender. Or is she a bender?
