Me and the other Rogues in my Horde guild had a contest going on to see who had the highest Gnome kill count. The winner earned the rank of "Punter". The guy who was best at it was an Undead Rogue who was fond of cannibalizing them.

Elves, because they are pretty and delicate creatures, have a tendancy to attract what I call jazzhands players/roleplayers. In all fantasy worlds, they're mostly flawlessly beautiful creatures who frollic in the woods and hug trees, have a speshul bond with nature and animals, good with a bow, ageless... That's like manna from heaven to a ...certain kind of player/RPer, if you see what I mean.

DA fandom is different in regards as elves are treated like crap and shoved low on the totem pole. Are you an elf mage? OOH DOUBLE THE FUN RACISM FAIL, GO GO GO. Still though, the jazzhanders flock to them and, you know, misunderstand the lore. I've read some Dalish/Mahariel stuff where thr blood and guts of the origin has been ripped out and ignored, the "skeevy" racist/lore issues avoided. Just... no.

I like elves. Dalish origin is my favourite after dwarves, in all honesty. I just don't like *most* elven players/roleplayers much...

Hah quite true; the DA elves are the first one i actually liked to the point i'd pick to play one, because of the whole ghetto aspect... while the regular elves were always like, "meh", for these reasons you list. It's mostly the CE though, the Dalish are still semi-annoying sort of like the Witcher elves, mainly thanks to their attitude which borders on what the typical elves are like.

That's my only elf. No bows, no bond with nature, loves her some blood n guts and can outdrink a dwarf! I think that's why I like the CEF over the Dalish, they have more personality to me. I just can't get into the Dalish at all despite numerus attempts. But my CE, I loved her.  Duncan's Sword and Shield, and her alternate weapons Starfang and Keening Blade.

My husband just got his beta invite so I am waiting for him to omghurryup and download whatever so I can roll a goblin and see their starting areas. Man, I really don't want to be lured back into WoW.

Did you know that Princess Moira is back from Blackrock Depths and she had the child? He's heir to the Ironforge throne and should be what, 6 years old by now or something. I cannot wait to see what the child looks like. If they have a model for a dwarf child, omg ... For the RP stories that my husband and I wrote, I kept putting the dwarven baby's head on a shrunk down human boy's body and pretending that was our RP son. I got so tired of it because it was so much work. I couldn't understand why the humans, draeneis, blood elves, orcs all had models for little kids but the dwarf girl who sold rabbits at Amberstill Ranch was merely a shrunken down version of the adult female. Having an actual dwarf boy model may very well lure me back into the game, nooooooooo.

The girl at Amberstill creeped me out with those...huge tracts of land she had.  I am waiting for release, my account is kinda locked, because my dog ate my authenticator. And since I don't remember me secret phrase, I can't remove the old one. So, I figure I'll start over. Maybe. Worgen druid maybe.

To be honest, it's one away from all the race/class combos neing available. Goblin paladin! Blood elf druid! Tauren priest OH WAIT THAT'S HAPPENINGGGG.

The Blood Elves are also treated like crap. "Remembers Garithos.". The horde ( both in game by players and story wise ) looks at them with disgust but they have proven that they will fight just like any other.

Speaking of Blood Elves...you just reminded me of a Kael'Thas slash fic with Blood Elf Paladin...."can't believe he actually read all 20 chapters of it, though to it's credit it wasn't a full slash fic."

Oh and to clarify: I played a Blood Elf, a paladin tank actually. And by Paladin tank I don't refer to those wannabe tanks who came over only once 2.3 came out or even those who became tanks only once 2.1 came out but playing it since TBC launch...
