My own little dwarf is NOT a happy camper after she heard the news about DA2.
*sigh*
And here I was playing with her through Awakening and thinking how it would be nice if she could romance another member of her race in the future that wasn't Oghren...

Igoring that and us not being the Warden wich means no closure to the Morrigan romance, I am excited about this.

The candle light flickers under the howling wind, it fights against it's power but in the end it is gone, as is the way of all things.
He does not notice, so engrossed in his own thoughts. The light of the hearth dances on the stone tiles of the balcony as it too fights the wind. It is late June and yet Fereldan is what it is: A cold country even in summer.
How does one march to his death? How does one take up the sword and armor and fight knowing that his death will be certain?
How does one do that and above all command his army? He cannot answer.
He watches as the campfires bellow go out one by one. Thousands have answered: Elves, Dwarves, Fereldans, Mages, Golems, creating an impressive army of twenty five thousand but only a third of what could have been. Their equipment is poor, their food lacking and yet despite all this their morale is high.
They will march on Denerim, they will fight outnumbered three to one for there is no choice least the Blight consumes Fereldan.
'How did it come to this?' he asks himself, though he already knows the answer. It was his choice to stay and fight, it was his choice to gather an alliance around him to combat the Darkspawn and here it stands against the greatest threat of their age.
Riordan revelation shakes him to the core even now, even though he firmly rejected allowing anyone else to take the blow. He cannot and would not allow anyone else take the blow, not Riordan and certainly not Loghain. Redemption be damned, he cannot allow a daughter be denied her father.
Though is any different by denying his young son in Orzammar that? Perhaps not, but he does not have the strength to allow another to do it.
Fear grips, so strong that he almost feels he will lose it. He focuses, drawing on the inner power of a Templar and barely calms himself, one of the few things that remain from Alistair. The fear remains, of dying, losing his soul.
Of simply ceasing to exist.
He does not hear the door as it opens and as the person creeps near him. She takes her place beside him and he realizes who she is.
Morrigan.

50 degrees...I have no idea how hot that is but since it's half the boiling temperature I'm going to assume it's hot. For me, 50 means it's rather chilly and you need to put on a jacket or something.
I think Knight is referring to Celsius degrees not fahrenheit.

Yes; and it's frickin' hot, for reference the normal human body temperature is 36.6 degree C.Costin_Razvan wrote...

Soooo, if the game isn't set in Ferelden or Orlais, that means we don't get to see underground dwarves. How do you guys feel about that?
Of course it might be set in Orlais and I will be satisfied, as long as this Hawke fellow doesn't try to ivnade the Ferelden ruled by my PC.

Kirkwall is apparently one of Free Marshess city-states, so the game perhaps happens around there and Nevarra. That's not too far from Kal-Sharok and since the story is supposed to span over 10 years and "change the face of Thedas forever" there's a chance for the dwarves to have part in it, hopefully.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Alternatively, the Waking Sea isn't really very wide, crossing it to get to Orzammar perhaps isn't out of question, too.

Huh, yea I was wondering where this Kirwall was. Thanks!
You know, this is actually interesting. Orlais seems too predictable and I don't think we can stand the accent if everyone talks like that.
The Free Marches and City-States dynamics could be very interesting.
And yea I hope we can travel to Kal Sharok or Orzammar.
Do we know wheen the game takes place? Is this blight the 5th or could it been one of the four?

edit: and yes, the viking-like city states setting lends well to the whole "gathering power over years" they have going. It reminds me of the "King of Dragon Pass" game, although it's quite a different (but would be great to take some things from)

I saw this comment somewhere and can't figure out if it's spectulation or if there's a source -- is DA2 going to predate DA:O?
Probably going to get it regardless. I like BioWare games for their ability to pull me in like I'm a star of a movie. Romances are a bonus so crossing my fingers that it gets included for DA2. Nothing like saving the world with a trophy LI looking up adoringly at you, lol. =D
***** WoW gushing -- my apologies -- feel free to skip over the rest of my post ******
In other news, I finally got a chance to get on my husband's beta account and play the goblins. I won't spoil anything, but I went into this not knowing what to expect and it was one explosive ride after another. Everything was so over the top and zanny -- I absolutely loved it. I did not even notice the levels flying by. I would say the goblin quests start to peter out in the late teens -- it was level 20 when I started doing general horde quests. I had already been established in my new goblin home and finished quests in outlying areas. Unfortunately no goblin cars in yet. There's a lot more they need to add in, but I've been very impressed. I tried to return to the dwarf and while I loved my dwarf for five years, I was unenthusiastic. The goblin is like a gnome and troll had sex with each other and this is what popped out. The attitude and "I'm so money" and sexiness is just cranked through the roof. I don't see how anyone can resist them.
A lot of the walking around in lower levels was cut out. I usually had transportation if I was required to find a NPC in a far off area ("here, take my trusty animal and ride like the wind" or "here's the keys, take care of that car!"). Orgrimmar (hah, I didn't spell it Orzammar!) looks magnificent. It's still the same, but more savage, better built, and npcs are in places that just make more sense than where they were. (The windrider used to be on top of a tower, but now he's on a cliff with landing zones -- it just looks so much better now that he has better real estate.)
That's it. Nothing more I can say. Goblins are awesome. Female worgens are not added in yet so waiting on that (tried it out with a male and the area is still being worked on so I'll wait for the patch). I was in the middle of "yet another dwarf" game, but the DA2 kind of put a pffft on it so I'm debating finishing it or just reinstalling Mass Effect and playing it into ME2 (I have not downloaded any of their DLCs content since I was saving it all up for when I played again).
