I agree about the society thing. I was so sick of the nordic kinda societies with other games and seeing a sort of Indian caste system was pretty awesome. I know that a lot of people don't like the Orzammar part of the game (I really just don't like Bownammar, and even that I can stand) but I LOVE Orzammar. I really can't get enough of it. I'd play an entire game set in Orzammar lol

Has anybody done the mini-romance with Gorim and then romanced Zevran before meeting up with Gorim again? I heard you can say 'I'm in love too. With an elf' and I really want to know what he'd say to that.

It's really weird how playing Orzammar works for me. As a non-dwarf I don't really care and neither do they. As a DC I absolutely hated it and the only reason I didn't give the crown to Harrowmont so he could destroy their society was because of Rica. As a DN...why can't we have more Orzammar?   Going to Dust Town for the first time really was a culture shock since I'm assuming that if King Endrin wouldn't let the DN go through the Commons alone when he knew it would be jammed with merchants then chances are there is no way he would have let her anywhere near the casteless. 

I really would have liked to run into some relative of Gorim's who was pissed at me for getting him exiled and gave me a guilt-trip.

You can tell him you're in love with whoever you're romancing... which he's relieved to hear because he then tells you about his wife. (I can put up the actual dialogue if you want).

Unfortunately, my DN girl ran to Denerim right away to see if her beloved Gorim made it there, only to be shot down. *cries*

But to OP, yes, I have completed a couple of dwarf runs, both noble and castless, and I quite enjoy them... romances too, though it is funny how she carries around a box to hop up on for the kissing scenes.

Hahahaha, no he wouldn't.  Heh, if you start the romance a certain way, he makes it very clear he likes watching the warden's ass.

Yeah, some of take 'You will always have my heart' and 'Come find me in Denerim' to mean that it's not cool if we shack up with the first bard/bastard prince/elven assasssin that we see and really would have liked the same common decency. And if he really thought you were dead...at most he didn't see you for a year. Some period of mourning...

Oh, wow, thanks senorfuzzylips. I would not have realized those come up as options because I tend to wait until I find Gorim first before proceeding with any of the romances. He's my first choice in all situations and I don't think I'd be able to confess to him that I found love elsewhere unless he forced the issue. That's cute that he laughs about the DN falling for nobility of another sort.

What do you say about Alistair if you don't know about him being Maric's son? Or does your character just magically know this suddenly, then get hit in the head so she forgets it?

My DN got broken up with over something silly - I think it was sparing Loghain or something else trivial - by Alistair and then Gorim was there at the end (sans wife and kid I might add) saying we were asked to go back to Orzammar to be made a Paragon... I choose to believe he's going to help me start my new House in a rather intimate way.

When you take Alistair to see Goldanna right after the confession but before talking to Teagan, let alone Eamon you can say 'you are going to be King after all' and he says 'thanks for reminding me.' Maybe the game honestly doesn't think you go to Denerim before needing to find Genitivi, in which case there's a good chance you know.



Still, I'm probably a horrible person because if I ever did a playthrough where I had dated someone else before officially breakig it off with Gorim (at least you can't get MARRIED before) I wouldn't tell him I'd found someone, too.



I do wonder, though: if you never find Gorim before the post-Coronation does he ever mention anything about a wife or do you just go back to Orzammar having no idea?

It's not easy to get pictures of Aeducan and Alistair together, but this is probably my favorite picture of them. It sort of foreshadows darker times ahead. This is right before Landsmeet in which Gilsa will spare Loghain and Alistair will walk away feeling betrayed. =/

DA-Redesigned. Could not play without it now. (mod basically replaces about 90% of the NPC faces in the game, the creator is very talented with the toolset.)
