wait seriously we are having a serious discussion about beards... THIS REALLY IS A PROPER DWARF THREAD NOAW GUIS

At least we managed to wait thirty-nine pages before getting into it.

we fail as dwarves!

Well, you mostly play female dwarves.

I've grown accustomed to dwarves without beards throughout the game btw. The scholar in the DN origin creeped me out a bit during the teaser video.

yeah, its very noticable. It takes the cheek fullness/shallowness slider all the way down, and basically puts every other slider directly in the middle. of their respective bars.I don't know why they would do that. While I can see my dwarves shaving their beards when they get to the surface, for whatever reason... all of them would have really badass beards in the origin. Perhaps not my DC, but definately my nobles.

Dwarf Without beard, customized how I'd like

Dwarf With beard-- bastardized!

Slider parameters, before beard

Slider parameters, after beard

Which, given you/Oghren is/are the first dwarf/ves they've ever met, dragging him along on your adventures across Ferelden is just perpetuating the stereotype.

Well, you mostly play female dwarves.

I suppose that if the female dwarves did have beards it probably would have come up earlier...

ehehehe. I got mining double entendres in my head now. "Can I tap your seamline, lover? You look unexplored. I'm a very experienced miner, I'll be gentle."

"Ooh, you can plunge into my mining shaft anytime you like."

Man this stuff just writes itself...

And then you find out they're actually talking about mining and wondering what it says about you that you thought otherwise. Posted Image

Kneepads. Good for, uh. Knees. When kneeling. A lot.

Remember kiddies, always wear a helmet when you go mining! Gotta be protected.

Has anyone given thought to what their Paragon-Heraldry would look like? Some of you draw fanart, so i'm curious.

This was actually a very good question and an excellent challenge! The Aeducan heraldry is a bearded dwarf and the stone structures inside Orzammar are filled with the bearded dwarves. That inspired me to come up with a female symbol rather than traditional objects such as axes and dragons and whatnot. This Paragon Heraldry is for my dwarf noble. I'd need to think for a bit on the dwarf commoner.

She could always make Rica come up with something; she probably has more experience among the nobles anyway and could choose something more appropriate.

Nice heraldry, Gilsa!
