What about the Cerberus base?

I always let uhm....Sidonis....( yes that's the name I think ) go. Not that I care about mercy, but I want Garrus to realize the Universe is not black or white, but grey.

And Paragade makes me vomit....

Oh and....dwarf relevant I swear!

I did. After abusing Harkin. With my paragon though.

Yes, abusing Harkin is an essential pert of ME.

Edit: And I got sick of his hero schtick.

Strange Renegade, Renegon, and pro-cerberus do the same to me. Must be something in the water. Also letting Sidionis live is more cruel since his life is hell and he ends up in a worse and worse situation every day.

Well, I wasn't doing it for Sidonis. I felt it was better for Garrus to hear the truth.

that's the collector base right? BOOM HEAD SHOT.

I honestly do not care for ME2, much as that makes my wife Sarah cry. I brought it on a whim and her insistance, but have no urge to play another runthrough, even though romancing Jack is tempting. SHOOTING **** IS FUN. *does dude bro fistbump*

If by paragade, one means a balance between paragon and renegade, then that's what I am. Well more Paragon than Renegade. About 55-60% compared to 40-45%.

Yes it means that, but the NAME makes me vomit.

P.S. Did anyone know Mordin voiced the Captain of the Guard in Orzammar. Sovereign voiced Dace and Valendrian. Udina voiced GARDENER in ME2 as well. Pressly voiced BODHAN!

I'm not sure how different Jack's Paragon romance is but her renegade one annoys me. It's basically:

Jack: Why are you here?

Shepard: Has anyone ever told you you're a ****?

Jack: It may have come up once or twice.

Shepard: Don't fight our love!

Jack: Love? What are you talking about?

Shepard: See, you're doing it again!

Jack: *sigh* You want sex?

Shepard: That works, too.

The problem with the whole thing (and dialogue wheels in general) is that I thought "warn Sidonis" would not lead to a discussion, but to me actively thwarting Garrus and making Sidonis escape. Which is why I didn't do it.

I eventually found out that warning Sidonis leads to a confession, but I had no way of knowing that on my first playthrough, and just decided that having the loyalty of the most badass companion is better than backstabbing him.

If the other choice was "Try to listen to Sidonis", I would have done it.

When you warn Sidonis you still have several opportunities to let Garrus shoot him and if Sidonis ran Garrus could have still taken him down. The only reason he can't is because you stand in the way.

And Garrus gets loyal anyway. Although apparently Tali doesn't if you rat out her father, or so my idiot brother said when he did it. He did it because he was doing an evil playthrough where he did all the evil options...except he thought blowing up the base was the evil choice. Posted Image

I agree with assessment, lol. Blowing up the base is the renegade choice in my eyes....mostly because the only reasoning I can find for people doing it,( aside from oh kewl explosion thing ) is just to ****** off TIM.

That decision is high unmoral either way you take it. On one hand it's not right to condemn someone to having his name erased from history on the other hand it's not right to simply allow the crimes of Tali's father to go unpunished.

Yes, Cerberus did something very similar with Overlord, but I do not think TIM would have ever allowed Archer to place David in the machine without making sure it was secure....Tali's father took the same risks as Archer.

Really? The reason all your companions (except Grunt who's like 'oh, he doesn't deserve a trophy cause he didn't do anything') give is not trusting him with the technology. As most of them aren't human, they're probably right to be worried. TIM misuing the base is a valid concern given his extreme the ends justify the means philosophy so looking at it that way and ignoring your annoyance/admiration of TIM it all boils down to whether you feel that the potential gains will be worth the substantial risk you're taking.

Keep it.
I am not about to let humanity take most of the casualties. Krogans can do that. Plus they can prove to be powerful allies for humanity to counter balance the Salarian-Asari-Turian trinity in post-Reaper politics.

But unlike the salarians, I had in mind a strong development plan for the Krogans and how to help them avoid populaton booms (which were due, as Mordin told us, to Krogans' evolution and customs on Tuchanka, which environement forced them to breed a lot. With a good development strategy, this can be avoided). With Wrrex as a strong leader, humanity can cooperate with him to develop such a plan.

And with Reaper technology from the base, well they can be put down again if need be. But I hope that humanity will be smart enough to play on Krogan hatred to Turians / Salarians and use that to counter-balance and avoid any anti-human coalition with Krogans in it.

I had no way of knowing that. I thought I would just warn Sidonis, he would run away and Shepard would just stand there preventing Garrus from taking the shot.

The dialogue option is just written vaguely.

Your companions are biased aliens who for the most part who only see Cerberus as racist. I am sorry if I could care less of their opinion and that of PRIIIIZE Jacob, and Dat Ass Miranda. Jack is biased because of her past, Kasumi is a naive fool and Legion ( the only one who has an unbiased opinion in the matter ) says he doesn't think the decision was a bad one, but he thinks it might be better for humanity to develop on it's own rather then use Reaper Tech ( which I disagree with ). Garrus is fine either way, but still concerned because of the perceived racism Cerberus has.

I know that they're biased but the questions of whether TIM can be trusted in this matter and whether you think the good will outweigh the bad are valid ones that needs to be considered even if you do decide that ulitimately the answer to both are yes.

You could decide that he'd do more harm than good with it and thus destroy the base for better or for worse without needing to be particularly pissed at TIM at all.

That is my opinion on the decision. Your brother is not an idiot for deciding to blow up the Collector Base and think it the evil choice ( which was the original point of this argument ), because be considered that it is is evil to destroy that technology only to ****** off TIM, and a lot people do it because of that.

I feel that anyone who destroys the base because of their distrust of TIM is an idiot ( not wanting to use Reaper Tech....now that's another cup ).....and you REALLY don't want to hear what eloquent words I can conjure up for those that would have preserved the base but only if they have given it to the Council/Alliance.

lol yea I hear you. One only needs to read the codexes wel to find out that if Cerberus can't be trusted, then neither can the council and the alliance. Or any political body for that matter.
