Tempting.....very tempting. I might give it a try. How about the other choices throughout the game? Are they any good?
It's basically like this for many choices.
Do I allow an assassination of a president to take place, but stop rioting that will kill hundreds or do I stop the assassination?
Do I allow the girl my PC loves die, or do I sacrifice her to save dozens of innocents....
Do I kill a terrorist ( and I don't mean Cerberus kind. I mean Al-Qaeda type one. The kind who kills innocents to prove a point ) or do I let him live to use him as an ally?
Stuff like that. Your choices DO matter. Yes you can be a complete dick and kill everyone and you will still finish the game BUT it will help a great deal if you are clever and know how to manipulate the hell out of people.
You are given 3 choices in a dialogue, but that only reflects what stance you will have ( professional, suave or aggressive. ) Each NPC will react differently to the kind of answer you choose. Some prefer suave, some aggressive some professional. Depending on your answer you will either gain reputation with them or lose it, it is said that losing reputation might be a good thing....but I disagree...the ending I said had me maxing ( or trying to max out ) reputation.
I had Thorton romance 3 women....all of whom ended up dead. Hell I killed 2 of them personally ( though one betrays you, and the other is a sodding USA loyalist which would get in my way with my plans to control the world ).

Hot news on the hot dwarf: supposedly the organization he seems to be in charge of is called Seekers or something to this effect, and it's "Templar Internal Affairs" type of organization in the Chantry.
Finding the concept... intriguing.
Where can this info be found?

but it's not official hence "supposedly".

I just find it odd that there would be a dwarf at a high position in a chantry institution due to the jury still being out on whether dwarves should be counted as the makers children.
I thought that it looked more like Behrat's heraldry and thus he might work with smuggling lyrium amongst other things.

And the Chantry does contemplate an exalted march after what happens to Dwarven Andrastians in Orzammar, which sort of implies that they do care about dwarves who share their faith. Granted, there might be other reasons why they were contemplating a march.

It's certainly rather odd but that either implies the dwarf is quite unusual individual, or that the chantry recognizes value of someone who's naturally more resistant to magic and lyrium in position of overseer of mages and templars. Or both.Herr Uhl wrote...

There's alternative explanation in that thread too btw. The dwarf is just narrating Hawke's early experiences to the woman you can see on the picture. That would mean she is one of the Seekers (bearing their symbol and all) and that throne may actually be hers, while the dwarf is just being overly nonchalant but not actually tied to that order at all.

Off-Topic: Here is the TIM ending for Alpha Protocol Knight....if you don't mind spoilers ( though I would earnestly suggest waiting for the patch to come out )
Alpha Protocol: Halbech Betrayal ending.
Oh and there is also this: Alpha Protocol: Halbech Normal Ending.
Second one has a better cinematic....but first is more interesting.

I didn't get far in the game though. Just went to Saudi Arabia and will start doing bonus objectives. Until now, I like Parker the most. Planing to max out everyone's reputation, so will be reading lots of dossiers.

Knight: There is no patch out yet, it is being worked on atm.
It seems you mentioning TIM was tempting enough for me, I guess you learned the manipulation skill from the game? *laughs*
TIM and Bhelen are some great teachers in that art "Chuckle." Though yeah...Thorton is also a good one.
My 2nd favorite ending has you sitting by the docks...accepting a cuban cigar from your new boss ( which you are planning to replace eventually ) and taking a drag from it.

I was freaking out for a minute since if Mardy's kid was branded then he'd be screwed either way so why was she so hopeful that you could help but then I remembered that a few weeks ago we had decided that they were branded the day they were born if there was no question about the father but if there was (Mardy's claim to have an Aeducan) then there was a grace period to get the child acknowledged before he got the brand and it only would have been about three months since DN Jr. was born. Thanks Dwarf Thread!

Random question: Are golems resistant to magic?
I don't remember shale being that.

Other then the Spell Res crystals, Shale had no innate resistences that I could see.

They are former Dwarfs who were converted using lyrium, why wouldn't they be?

I just had a bad thought.
If the next DA is taking place in the Free Marches . . . then the only Dwarfs we'll encounter will be surfacers.

I know. Maybe we could at least run into some who had come from Kal-Sharok so we can find out more about it.thegreateski wrote...

Does Kal-Sharok even have a path to the Surface? You'd think if they did people would have realized they existed. Maybe we can find a path? *is hopeful*

For my ME2 Youtube playthroughs. Should do an actual suicide mission, or should I go through with trying to keep everyone alive? ( though some people will die anyway )
Either way is fine with me....and thus I have trouble deciding.
P.S. Does Shepard with this Beret look OK or like crap?
