Flip a coin.

That's how I decide difficult things.

I consulted my "book of manhood" on the subject of berets.

Apparently there are three types of people in the world.

Those who KNOW they look good in a beret, those who don't look good in a beret, and those who wear trucker hats.

I wear berets all the damn time. Not in the summer though, but every other season? Nyep. I got quite a collection, too.

Dwarf thread, a question.

For my ME2 Youtube playthroughs. Should do an actual suicide mission, or should I go through with trying to keep everyone alive? ( though some people will die anyway )

Either way is fine with me....and thus I have trouble deciding.

P.S. Does Shepard with this Beret look OK or like crap?

If you're trying to keep them alive then why would any of  them die? Did you not do all the upgrades or something? I mean, Mordin apparently will just randomly die at times even if you do everything right unless you send him back with your crew but other than that it's pretty straightforward.

I managed to keep EVERYONE alive, including each and every single crew member, Kelly too.

My first game, which I got the day it came out and beat before there was much information on keeping everyone alive available, had a record five deaths. Jack, Thane, and Legion died before we even landed, stupid Jacob and his fail biotics got Garrus eaten by bugs and Mordin...even though Miranda was in charge he randomly died. Image IPB

My second game, everyone stayed alive no problem.

I did get all upgrades....and from the first time I did it everyone died...

Some will die because I want them to. About 5 people, one of which is Miranda ( good ****ing riddance. )

For the people you didn't want to die...did you pick the wrong people? I'm still annoyed Miranda was all 'so technically you could use ANY biotic. And by any, I really just mean the Asari (whoever you have) and Jack. Send Jacob and Garrus will get eaten by evil collector insects.'

Oh sorry rofl....

I meant to say that NO ONE died....my bad!

Man....I really should get some proper sleep.

On my cannon male Shepard and my infiltrator female Shepard I don't let anyone died... on this vanguard I plan on letting some people die ( just to see how it affects the story ).

Costin, Alpha Protocol's combat is seriously broken and the AI is beyond idiotic. Still, I am playing purely as stealth and firing only critical hits that guarantee a no miss one hit KO. When played that way, this game is fun (though not in par with Splinter cell Conviction, but then again so few games are). I am liking it so far, so thanks for the recomendation!

Curious, what did you do with Nasri, the arms dealer?

In this thread we won't believe you. Or the Morrigan one. The Alistair thread, however...

Hey! A troll doesn't get showered with Morrigan pics in the thread praising the very person Morrigan hates. Well...a least not a common troll.

Clearly they do. Just, again, not a common one. Image IPB

I let Nasri live....got a discount on all vendors because of it.

As for the combat...well I simply should say: Play it on hard.

I used stealth in about 60% of the game....despite the fact I had no points in stealth ( had sound dampening though ) I had a silencer on my pistol and I could take out most enemies with a good headshot. Rest I just used assault rifle.

I consider it superior to ME1, not to ME2 ( since it doesn't have bugs and it's balanced ) but I like it a lot since it frustrates the hell out of you ( and I like a game that DOES frustrate you ). I was certain you would like it though .

Here is my build towards the end, just before in the final mission.

I let him live too.

And I am playing on hard. The AI is still idotic sometimes and missing at point blank range is frustrating in a bad way. But that's just forcing me to play stealth and critical hit the hell out of everyone, which I am liking. With this slow pace, this game should eat away my minutes very quickly.

I am not using shotguns or assault rifles, though maybe I should later on. Right now, I am using pistols and SMGs for the badass factor (very rarely, in case stealth doesn't work). too bad hats ar useless in this game. I would have loved buying visors and useful headsets. But maybe I am expecting Mike to be like Sam Fisher, but really who can?

SMGs are useless...Assault Rifles are the way to go lol.

And as for Mike vs Sam Fisher....come on. No one can match a badass voiced by Michael Ironside!

 I let him live too.

Did you extort him for cash too? I would be disappointed if a Pragmatist and Realist like yourself wouldn't :D

But SMGs look cool! lol, especially when they reload (as slow as it is). But yea I'll probably replace them with the assault rifle. I did not invest any points in SMGs. But I doubt I'll be using shotgun, they are so...un-agent like.

And yep, I extorted him. Big surprise.

As Yahtzee said in his review on the escapist.

"Who the **** would invest points in shotguns when a shotgun is a SITUATIONAL WEAPON?!"

A silenced pistol for close-up and an assault rifle for long distance.

No need for rifle with levelled up pistol. 6 (or 12) chained headshots you can aim in slow motion with single shot being enough to kill anything but a boss... clear the rooms dead.

Oh and these same shots put in any boss kill them dead on the spot, too.

Now that's....interesting...I regret not putting points in pistol now..

Though the Assault Rifle has far longer range so...
