Yeah, that was when my DN started to feel really glad she hadn't decided to take Bhelen's advice and preemptively kill Trian. Not that it matterred much in the long run...

He really seems to hate Harrowmont even before he becomes a threat to him and I'm curious as to why that is. Not to mention that I'm wondering how many similar moments everyone missed because they ignored him that really could have saved a lot of trouble in the long run.

@Radahldo -- Wow, nice captures!

Has anyone ever truly looked at Trian's face and Bhelen's face? I think they have the exact same face, but with different coloration and different hair. Or mebbe it's just the nose.

He just needs a top hat and a mustache to twirl to be any more obvious.

Does anyone have any screenshots of them standing next to each other? They do it at least twice: when you run into them in the Diamong Quarter and then either at the Proving or in Trian's room.

my one and only dwarf noble playthrough I ended up killing trian

granted I knew what kind of guy Bhelen was since that was my 3rd playthrough but I found it more interesting than just being a goody twoshoes... then again I never play goody twoshoes characters it bores me to tear =/

I know! He doesn't even wait until he turns away. Honestly, between him, Loghain, possibly Jowan, and Howe, you have to wonder if Ser Gilmore is the only good guy that's even remotely genre savvy...

My DNs don't not kill Trian out of morality, they just want a more reliable source than the third-in-line for the throne - as he even brings up if you ask why he is telling you - who would really benefit with the DN and Trian out of the way.

Your politically incompetent Aeducan murdered Trian so she could be Queen? I thought you said all she wanted to do was go off and kill darkspawn?

Obviously, he is a dwarf.

I think The Prince, is just Machiavelli writing a fanfic about Bhelen.

She did, but she was pissed off enough to kill Trian. he was a douche, remember. I struggle so hard finding a voice for my Aeducan; the one I am playing now is how I want her to be, and she let Trian live.

I think from a RP point of view instead of a game POV sometimes... I have 3 Aeducans ( one at Ostagar, one still in Origins, one completed) because I don't know what she thinks like :-/ ... Missa however... Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry Sarah, I am rubbish with your favoured Origin :(

Bhelen has sharper features.

Edit: Otherwise fairly similar.

That is a strong family resemblance.

I have a hard time getting into the DC myself. I think it's because they really are completely opposite characters. One almost has to love Orzammar because it loves her and if the politics annoy her she can just ignore it and the other is almost universally looked down on and hated by everyone except Rica and Leske. One is trying to get ahead and win glory for themselves and their House and the other is just trying to survive and to keep Beraht from messing with her sister. I mean, just look at the two different reactions to the dwarf wardens winning the Proving. "Wow, Lady Aeducan, you sure showed that even the best warriors can't compete with a noble. You're amazing!" vs. "A casteless? This is an outrage! Guards!"

If you get deep enough into one Origin then it's difficult to do the same for another. If I'm playing a human or an elf then it's a physical reminder but if I'm playing another dwarf...well how am I supposed to remember I finally managed to try a DC? If the game had let me, I would have just gone to face the Blight with just the elves, human troops, and mages and pretended Orzammar didn't exist. That Origin was really hard for me to complete, especially since I could imagine how everyone from the DN mother to Beraht himself would react to my DN at that point and you can even see how Rica (or, as she's labelled 'Mistress') does.

My DC just wanted to get the hell out of dodge (after making sure Rica would be okay) and so really hated going back and was loving all this newfound respect. My DN had three motivations: 1) Orzammar 2) House Aeducan 3) Everything else and could appreciate Bhelen's tactics but didn't approve of being cast out to die so when she returned she had to decide whether Bhelen - strong king though he might make - could really work with the Assembly (it didn't occur to her that he'd just dissolve it) and exactly how pissed she was about being fed to darkspawn. Besides, Harrowmont really wouldn't make that much of an impact given his age and his insistence on compromising and putting everything to a vote. What really matters with him is his successor and just how good she thought her chances were...

And it could be worse. I mean, you could be the same species as Cammen, after all. Or one of those HN who insist on making the Landsmeet all about them and their epic love for Alistair.

Of course, my DN is the type to love minor scandal (winning your own Proving? Sounds awesome) so if they saw the guards harrassing the DC after winning the Proving they'd say they'd 'take care of it' and then point them towards Duncan...Though a disguise might be useful first. Posted Image
