I don't know where it is (Codex, maybe?), Herr, but I know I have the same impression Raonar does. Human and elven minds go to the Fade when they sleep; it's something magic-capable races do. Dwarves are not magic-capable and don't dream. (At least, that's what I remember.)

Although apparently dwarven consciousness can be *pulled* into the Fade by a Sloth Demon.

Yes, I used to have that impression too. But Oghren telling about dreams made me less certain. That dwarves don't go into the fade is certain at least.

Might be a lorehole though.

Well, it's been awhile but I remember when Oghren tells you about his dream that Hespith's a broodmother and then it starts getting weird that you tell him that you're pretty sure that that's not a GW-dream. If he didn't dream before it would explain why he thought what anyone else would take for a nightmare was a dream. Maybe dwarves dream once they're GW because of the taint?

But Oghren's dream is darkspawn related, and all Wardens dream of darkspawn? That's the lore I stick to, so alas Missa can't have awesome dreams of Zevran dancing in nothing but a nug hat with Lina, but instead of darkspawn ripping apart a village. Nice.

Unless, of course, she somehow becomes a spirit warrior and does gain a connection to the fade. This is the lorehole. Dwarves shouldn't be able to become spirit warriors. Hell, even being templars should be impossible.

My DN (fic) will be both of these, but I had to come up with a really complicated array of events to actually make this feasible and not Gary STU-ish.

I assume that the dwarves do not dream unless forced upon by certain factors like our "buddy", the Sloth Demon. Animals like the mouse do dream and are stuck within the fade until they wake up. Maybe it is related to the dwarves being exposed to the lyrium for so long but then dwarves born and raised on the surface would not be exposed to the lyrium.

Anyways, been playing around the toolset to see its capabilities; it is more complex than the standard CC when creating faces.

David Gaider had this to say:

Dwarves do not enter the Fade when they dream, yes.

By my interpretation this implies that dwarves can dream, but they go somewhere other than the Fade when they do so.

feh, too lazy to change DDW. Missa was the type to never dream, or something. Apart from darkspawn.

Some people don't dream, so it's not that big a deal xD I dream a lot every night, my mind goes a mile a minute. My brother, on the other hand doesn't dream at all (or if he does, he doesn't remember them in the slightest).

I think dwarves don't go anywhere at all, they just dream like we do.

And since we're never told WHY dwarves don't go into the Fade - even Surface dwarves - even though it's been confirmed that there is a reason I'm guessing it's going to come up in the future? DA2, maybe? I do find it somewhat odd that non-dwarves seem to have their emotions tied up in the Fade as they lose them when they lose their connections but dwarves are very emotional and have no connection at all.

I don't think that other races have their emotions tied up to the fade. Rage demons don't feed on rage or something like that, they are just a reflection of the other side, where there is rage.

New design of deep roads for DA2. Looks pretty similar. Or is it just some other place with a big great thing that is... no idea.

Looks like one of these darkspawn altar thingies. Or maybe it's reworked sign post, given it seems to be crossroad there...

or a really tall abomination in a really silly mage hat. Posted Image

Most hats in this game are absolutely bonkers.
