And since we're never told WHY dwarves don't go into the Fade - even Surface dwarves - even though it's been confirmed that there is a reason I'm guessing it's going to come up in the future? DA2, maybe? I do find it somewhat odd that non-dwarves seem to have their emotions tied up in the Fade as they lose them when they lose their connections but dwarves are very emotional and have no connection at all.

I don't think that other races have their emotions tied up to the fade. Rage demons don't feed on rage or something like that, they are just a reflection of the other side, where there is rage.

Then how do you explain 'cut off from Fade' = no emotions? If you only lost your magic there would be many more people willing to become Tranquil, I think, as it would mean freedom and so I can't imagine that they make you emotionless on purpose.

I agree. I find even find the ever popular "Warden" helmet with wings to the sides to look odd.

Easy. It's a side effect.

They remove their emotions and thus cut them off. They don't cut them off and then they loose their emotions afterwards.

So what I mean is that instead of emotions being tied to the fade, the fade is tied to emotions. At least that is how I see it.

Yeah, I hate all forms of headgear in the game so no one ever wears them. Hell, I even take Mhairi's stupid-looking helmet for the entire twenty minutes she's in the game. NO ONE can look good in those.

For the PC looks matter (do not know why when I care less how I look in RL): for everyone else it is stats. So one of my mage party members gets the lovely Libertarian's Cowl.

The only good hats are metal hats.

I hate them, too, but I'm usually on the minority side when it comes to DA things. Or, well, most things. In general.

My favorite helmet is the one referred as the "Spartan" helmet. Too bad it does not belong in any armor sets.

Ah, mage hats. To be honest, those skullcaps rogues have are silly too.

I put the backward leather cap on Oghren, it seems to suit him for some reason.

what I love about dwarf thread is conversations like this <3 DOES NOT HAPPEN ANYWHERE ELSE ON BSN. <3

[cool story bro] I wear and collect hats, berets are a favourite. I got an awesome 50's pillbox hat as well as a Phillip Tracy fascinator that's LOLZ and puts mage hats to shame. [/cool story bro]

I use and collect knives.

Seems vaugely serial killerish but what the hell.

My favorite helmet is the one referred as the "Spartan" helmet. Too bad it does not belong in any armor sets.

It goes well with "Wade's superior dragonbone plate" armor.

I always have sold it in the past, so maybe next time I will keep it around though it will have limited uses. Though the next character I will play as may have ear problems.

Yes, what could you use knives for. I venture at cutting things.

My second guess is throwing.

So, cutting it is.
