I did not see Kardol in the battle until it was too late to save him. Then I realized people like Arl Eamon and Irving spawn at the entrance to the roof. I wish they would not spawn since I found the AD battle to be really easy without needing to call in your armies.



I hope I did not permanently kill of Kardol in the game because I liked him.

you don't, nope. THe NPCs don't die. Arl Eamon went splat in my SRSBZNS HARD MOAD playthrough and he was up and about in the the throne room after.



Ah, Kardol I'd tap that so hard. HE IS TOO AWESOME TO DIE.

I was meh on Kardol till he stood toe to toe with me, Loghain, and Shale against the archdemon.



That little sodder just wont die. Besides 2handers are leet.

Ah, good to know. I found him with 1/10 of his health left soloing the AD while I was busy killing grunt spawns padding my character's total kills stat. I had Irving running around killing things, so I 'assumed' only one special character spawned at a time. If I had known Kardol was on the loose, I would FF him at all costs and my main would take the damage from the AD.



I am going to attempt a 2-hander on my next play through since I am sick of being stunned and knocked to the ground and plus you get to wield a giant sword or maul. Though the swing speed is very ssllooowwwww....

Get a mage to cast haste on you Caak7i.



Best thing to know on a 2H is to use your special attacks sunders, sweeps and the like.

Pick the berserker specilization first since it makes your attacks much heavier hitting and adds an amazingly powerful final blow skill.

Also have a mage with rejuvinate since it recharges you.

You easily can pull 40-50% of the damage your party does, you have massive single offensive tactics, and a huge mob controller in Two Handed sweep.

However until about level 15 avoid any of the 2H buffs besides indomitable since they cost you quite heavily and you need your stamina. Finally use Perfect Striking only on bosses since mobs are easy to hit, and you want to kill boses quickly.



For weapons go to the mages tower and get Yusaris first, or do the Warden's keep DLC and get Starfang. After a couple of missions pick up the Chasind Great Maul in Denerim if you want. But the best 2H weapon is ageless picked up by killing the dragon in Orzamar throne room.

Annnnd Missa means mass in latin, and Missa Brevis means short mass, a type of liturgy. Hehehehe.

I read the guides on this forum to get the juicy info on how to properly build a certain class. First time I made a character I split nearly all my points in 3 stats, and the character was weak.

I have read that it is recommended to dump all your points into strength for more damage and hit rate since it is not a true tank class. No Willpower and Constitution since those stats are weaker and the Lifegiver is an Awesome ring that you do not need Con.

Berserker? Never tried it before, but it does drain stamina which is a big no-no in my book though health regeneration is a plus in my opinion. Final Blow I have heard is overrated. I loved using champion's War Cry which knocked everyone on their ass, so that is a must for me. Reaver's first two abilities were gold for me on my last play through, so besides its lore and how to obtain it, I liked it.

I run things a bit different than most people, so I always get most of the kills and damage by default. My last character had 86% of the damage with 2747 kills. I switched from normal to nightmare when I reached Orzammar, this time I am going to try a full nightmare run so the numbers may vary since the game is getting easier for me. The game seems to be easier on the PC than on the console for me at least.

My goal is to get Starfang first then wait for CGM when I have enough dough. I have looked at the stats for Ageless and I cannot see how it can compete with Starfand and CGM. The weakened dark spawn effect is bugged I think.

Of course, I lack the experience of using a 2-hander, so I will heed to those who have experience with this class. I have only used dual wielders, so it will take some time to get used to the speed of the weapon.

8 days until it comes out....or perhaps about 1-3 if you care to get it off torrents..( game got leaked, how dunno but crack will be up shortly I'll bet..... and people wonder how games get downloaded off torrents so many times lol.)

I am only interested in the story, so I probably won't buy it and just read about it and watch cutscenes on Youtube.

BTW, speaking with Parker was enlightening. And seeing how my choices vis a vis Shaheed, Surkov and Omen Deng refuted Parker's logic was very satisfying.

I am gong to make a Let's Play for it on youtube the day it comes out. Hell I'll probably have my first video a few hours after midnight on 26th.

In all honesty though. It IS legal for anyone to download stuff off torrents in Romania, as long as it is for personal use and you disable the upload feature ( and yes I did read the Copyright Law in detail here ) so I am VERY tempted to get it off torrents. 

I really hope you can play it without being logged online though. I could care less for some achievements.

My net connection is mediocre here, which means that downloading it out of Torrent will probably take a day or two. Ugh.

Hopefully the Protoss will win in the end. Which is very probale seeing how the "legacy of the void" version will be the last.
