Odds are the "Topsiders" take my personal route at religion and only use the Chantry to get married because that's the only option politically available to them.

If you leave the stone, you are pretty much bound to stop venerating it over a period of time. I found the surface dwarves to be pretty much agnostic or following the Chantry (well, only Burkel of the ones I met).

Why is Burkel allowed in the commons anyways?

WAS Burkel a Surface dwarf? I just thought he was weird. An where did he get that dwarf-size Chantry sister robe? It was both adorable and mildly disturbing. Would the Chantry have problems with the fact he's a male given he's the only chance they have in Orzammar?

There are lay brothers, no male priests. He claims to be a brother, not a priest, so I think they would be ok with it.

IIRC he mentions seeing the splendor of a chantry church, but I'm not entirely sure.

Doesn't that depend on the person?

My commoners usually convert, my nobles usually respectfully tolerate.

Mmm Teagan is about 80 kinds of sexy, from his looks to his demeanor. He's a true gentleman, while still being down to earth and not a shallow jackass who throws around empty flattery. He seems to be a real, genuine person, and it is very enticing.

And yeah, I get the distinct feeling he hates Isolde and tolerates her because she's the sister-in-law. Isolde deserved execution for what she did and Teagan might even agree with the nasty glares he shoots at her and the way he spits every other word when he's telling her how it's her fault.

Hell, that wins him points right there.
